Okay. You guys convinced me to end my packs only experiment with the Kaneohe Mokes. It just is too boring and not a good way of building a team. |

If you want to see how bad pack luck can be, just watch an episode of TWIPT (This Week In Perfect Team) which airs every Monday night on Twitch, as it is not unusual to see 25 ripped in one show, and there are very few cards that would be usable in "Our League". |

So, Ewa Beach is taking their lumps in Diamond. 121 runs scored. Great, right? Not when you have allowed 123!!!

Boomerangs start their bullpen refit
After a disappointing season last year, Bluffton made a point if attempting to make some improvements in their infield. It appears that the shakeup has begun, as the Booms added Steve Mingori and Michael Jackson to their active roster, dropping Jim Hughes and Steve Sparks. The Boomerangs GM was quotes as saying, "somehow we managed to fill our bullpen with weak starters and closers. We hope that Steve and MJ can solidify that part of our game. The Boomerangs also shored up their outfield a bit, adding Dave Henderson to patrol centerfield at Comeback Park, with Vada Pinson moving to DH and backup outfielder, dropping Rocky Colavito to the bench.

After a disappointing season last year, the Green Lake Cowboys are mad as hell and are putting their unbridled energy towards a big run this year. We're currently at the top of the whole Silver .287 standings at 16-8. We're first in runs scored and batting average at .318, with the next highest in the league at .282!
One victim was the poor Sanguine Classics, where Kirby Puckett went 5/6 and Bill Madlock went 6/6. The latter was good for a nice 2000 PP. Perhaps this run isn't sustainable, but I like what I see so far. Good luck to all in Silver .287. |

Yeah he was a great addition. I dropped 2 golds and 1 silver from my lineup for 3 bronze cards and it has paid off so far.
Bronze Tony Gwynn that I've had for while is another ridiculously good card for the rating. He can hit, run, and field great.. no idea why it's a 69 rated card. |

Our League 2023: First Look
Here are the standings after yesterday's sims. There will be a delay in I212, since I don't have a team there, and it takes two schedules to mesh to get it done, with Bottom Of The Sixth doing the hard work of gathering the screen shots for all the teams. I just count 'em and post.

Annandale in April
Ozark (0) at Annandale (3): The Bobcats had a frustrating trip to The Reactor, as the Atom Smashers swept the series
Annandale (2) at Waffletown (0): It's good to see our old friends, the Syrups! Waffletown may not have been as glad to see us, as Annandale swept the two-game series.
May Games Seems like we're repeating April's schedule Annandale @ Ozark, 3x Waffletown @ Annandale, 2x |

Hey, I like Argonaut's idea of posting your bronze cards that are great performers. I will list two here for me, that I would not trade for most silver cards. They are still on my roster and quite active:
Steve Sax (67) can hit, run, and steal bases. Just don't use him on defense... I have him as my DH against lefties (against which he has 90 contact and 87 gap), and as a pinch-runner in late innings (if only the AI would sometimes use him!). And as my backup catcher, Bob Boone (69), with his 84 defense, can come in to sub for Burgess late in the game to shut down the opposing offense. |
