You open packs if you want quantity (for collections or to start your team) and a random chance of quality. You use the auction house for specific needs, upgrades, and the key players that will anchor your team.

Where did you get an EV of 200 PP from? I used quick-sell values and got an expected value of 426 PP. Obviously if you were to plug in the real auction house values of cards then it'd go up even more.

I was incredibly bad in pulling cards in OOTPXX, too ...
Of course I'm jealous when guys post their perfect Babe Ruth cards ... heck, I even had a perfect Rube Marquardt in beta ... But I'm also jealous when guys win millions in the lottery So what? Life goes on ![]()

I don't know how many hundreds of packs I've opened in PT1.0 (at least 500) and I've never got a perfect. The first day in 2.0 I opened 75 packs (plus the 7 starter ones) and got 3 perfects. It's a crap shoot.

I opened ~500 packs and got two legends (100) and several diamonds including DeGrom.

I opened 12 packs over the weekend and got my first Diamond player - a 97OVR Bauer. Aside from that I got 2 silvers and a couple of fistfuls of bronze players.
I estimate I've opened about....30 to 35 packs not counting my initial team allotments. Hey, that's good for me! |

Pack luck went a little bit cold lately, but I decided to get a couple more standard packs because I needed a pitching upgrade and didn't really have enough PP to make it rain in the auction house...
So I got a gold Kelly Gruber in one pack and a diamond Gerrit Cole in the other. Gruber probably won't crack my lineup but it's always nice to see the gold confetti. Plus, he has solid defensive ratings in the INF and OF. I've now opened a grand total of 17 standard packs (zero gold packs) and have pulled 6 diamond players and roughly the same number of golds. My diamonds: 98 Aaron Judge, 95 Eddie Stanky, 94 Edwin Diaz (promoted to 95), 90 Patrick Corbin (since demoted to gold), 90 Jeurys Familia (also demoted to gold). I still have yet to sniff at a perfect card in either PT 19 or PT 20, but can I really complain? EDIT: Just did the Challenge Mode pack thing and got a pack within a few seconds of simming, lol. Pack had a gold Trevor Story in it. Last edited by waittilnextyear; 04-09-2019 at 12:25 AM. |

i guess this is developer refuse to make simple changes to the game, add more stats etc... they are too busy swimming cash from high end folks with endless supply of money there is just zero fun in playing this way for me. have fun complaining about meaningless stuff i advise you buy 5000 packs and complain to the govt if you don't get what you expect |
