Well my Merewether Storm are out of contention but safe from relegation (an achievement in itself for my FTP diamond debutants) so time for some defensive positional learning.

So only the World Series participants get promoted to Perfect. Not that I am looking for this with the Squirrels, it's just seems like a difficult path. Titans are running away with the division, but if they flop in the playoffs, no promotion!

In the AC Least, we still have 3 teams in the "running". OK guys, one of us has to win this division so will someone please decide to just do it?! Or are we going to wait to the last day to see who gets to be clobbered in the playoffs?

I've been away all day doing a project arouhd the house, but it looks like an exciting end to the season. Luckily we clinched, but hopefully be able to stay up until things are settled. Good luck all. |

It looks like my Batbirds will avoid relegation. I was worried because it is really nice having a team in both leagues for the purpose of managing the lists.
This is an all-Cardinals theme team and it has been a real challenge to find pitchers. I have been saving points for one of the diamond Deans or a Gibson. I have a gold Gibson so I would go for Dean first. I am over the 78 Ozzie barrier now and I am sorely tempted each time I see one. However, that would set my quest for pitching back another two seasons. The struggles of a free-to-play team... if this were my Colonels, I would just have a couple of drinks and buy the pitcher. |

I'd like to propose we restart the season as of Sep 11.... my dead-from-the-neck-up team is somehow 8-3 since then 2 more wins in the last 8 and that's a season win for my short term goals |

There must be some sort of distractions going on in my clubhouse. 5 straight games only scoring 1 run. Here I thought sending them to Florida on their day off for some fun in the sun and maybe a relaxing massage would help them focus down the stretch.

Three seasons ago I had a 100% chance and still didn't make it (lost it in the 163rd game). Last season I lost it right at the end as well (either on the last day or the day before). In other words, we've still got 6 games left to lose this.

woot! 63 wins ![]() 100 losses avoided.... unlikely scenario question.... relegation tiebreaker.... if Waffletown, Cooper and Cary win the rest of their games, and Evansville, Kubinka and East Coast lose the rest of their games.... we will have St Pete in the bottom spot for relegation, and then 6 teams tied with 68 wins for the next lowest.... how are those last 3 relegation spots determined in that case? |

good to know.... but so much for that far fetched thought
looks like our relegated teams will be: Cary Carpetbaggers (not 100% certain....need one more loss to secure it) Waffletown Syrups Cooper Gutter Cats St Pete Madhatters |

I am surprised the Squirrels finished above 500. I only have one cheap diamond level player and he has a losing record.
Good Luck in the playoffs!

Unfortunately, in the PT playoffs it seems the best record gets to the WS less that 25% of the time.

Good luck in the playoffs folks. Another nail biter of a season. So close I could almost taste it. Got Wafflestomped when it mattered most.
