Different Cards Of Same Player

Not sure if this has been discussed previously, but I'd love to know why we can't use two different cards of the same player at the same time. For instance, why can't I use the Rookie Sensation Ichiro and the Record Breaker Ichiro at the same time? They are separate cards with different ratings. I think it would be awesome if someone used an all-Ichiro OF.

Somewhat cool to have an all-Ichiro OF. Maybe slightly less cool to face an all-Babe Ruth OF. I like the way it is now.

Isn't it bad enough that there are 16 Ichiros in my gold league already? I can't imagine how many there are in the bronze leagues. And now you want every team to run multiple copies of this player?

I'm not saying multiple instances of the same card, I'm saying one instance of different cards of the same player. So for instance 2007 All Star Ichiro, 2004 Record Breaker Ichiro, and 2001 Rookie Sensation Ichiro.

The game is balanced around only utilizing one person, independent of cards. If they changed it now, the balance would be out of whack. They'd need to change the cards to make it work properly.

Why is it bad for a lot of people to use the same card?

It's confusing and gets old seeing the same players over and over again. I'm tired of games with Dierker facing Dierker with Ichiro leading off for both teams. I'd hate to have 3 Ichiros on each team making it worse. And I say this as a Dierker and Ichiro owner.

I guess it is something I just expect with a game like PT. People are going to use the good cards that are bargins. Ichiro is a prime example of one of those cards. If the card is really that good then everyone should want it.

Would it be better if there was another player just like Ichiro but with a different name? What would be the difference?

The point is that if you made it so you can use multiple cards of the same player like Ichiro, there would be way more of them. I'd prefer a lot more bronze cards that perform like golds than just Ichiro.

Ichiro does not have power, but has defense, speed and hitting. I just can't put anybody else in RF. Nope can't do it.
