Debate: More worth it to buy packs or work the auction house? - Page 2

My auction house has had only gold, diamond and perfect cards in it. I have the minimum threshold set to 20. You guys are getting silver and bronze cards? Maybe it's my league?

I have used my PP to buy 1,000 PP packs. Nothing on the auction house since it's only been diamond and perfect the last few real days.

I've pulled 4 gold and 2 diamond and a few silver so far. I've done pretty good just with packs.

I occasionally buy packs just for the slim chance at a perfect because there is no way I'm getting one through the AH. I use the AH to fill holes and upgrade positions. . . . . .and to flip under priced golds and diamonds.

Just bought my 1st gold pack ever and got a Diamond Christian Yelich, and a Gold Anthony Rizzo which are miles better rating wise then anything I've ever gotten in the 6 or 7 standard packs I've opened.

I think you have to do a mixture of both. If you aren't, then you're missing out on opportunities.

Packs have incredible value when you're just starting off, since the chances of you getting a player who is better than someone in your current starting lineup is going to be pretty high.

At a certain point, the value of packs goes down and the AH starts getting useful as there are specific roles you need to target. So in reality it's a sliding scale depending on the strength of your team.

But even if I had an all gold/diamond team, I'll still buy packs now and then because it's a bit of fun.

Find it easier/more fun to wait for 1k to buy a pack than spend on the AH. A few times I've been blessed with a lot of PP to make a good move in the AH, but until I spend on this game which idk if I will for sure yet, I'll probably stick to mainly packs.

maybe check off 'only show cards i can afford' (assuming you aren't swimming in points to afford the diamond/perfect offers)... if you're looking for silver/bronze offers, maybe change the sort to 'ascending' on the value and go from the bottom up
