I'd say we had a pretty good season! Too bad it's only the beta cuz I've drawn some solid cards for sure...

Finished 88-74, won my division. Got the 3 seed in the playoffs. Currently tied 2-2 in the Division Series. All games have been won by the visiting team. So hopefully that continues! My top pitcher, Marco Gonzalez (Bronze 66) lead the league in Wins & ERA. My top hitter was Unsung Heroe Don Money who had 25 HR & 90 RBI.

Northwestern upset Illinois in the other series, so we should have a pretty good shot in the conference final, although they do have Triple Crown winner Chris Sale. Last edited by Jamee999; 11-11-2018 at 01:20 PM. |

Congrats to Ryan's Virginia Vixens, who beat us 3-2 in the Phi Gamma AC division series. Well done, Ryan. It should be a great series between you and Bobble.

Is anyone else’s game stuck on simulating? It’s been that way for an hour or so, stuck in between the first and second round of the playoffs. Not sure if this is a problem on the game’s end or on my end.
I’m in the RHO OMIKRON league. Edit: Fixed by re-starting the game. Ha.

Am currently twowins from a "World Series". Have bumped off the 98 win Omaha team (Chi Rho) in the division series. Now playing the second best team in he conference, the 94 win Lemore Crew.
I have a new respect for '09 Chone Figgins, Tommy Pham and a beast of a closer in Felipe Vasquez. Also '84 Dave Steib after a poor regular season has become red hot in the playoffs. Last edited by Dr.K; 11-11-2018 at 03:47 PM. |

I really hoped to move some high bronzes / a silver today for a few PP so I could make it to 1,000 PP by tearing some awful cards that nobody's gonna buy anyway, but except for one, all my auctions are running out without a bid…
![]() So the new season will start like the old one turned out: crummy!

Currently tied after two games into American conference championship series. Playing against the team that beat me in one game tie breaker for division.

Sold nothing but the Ichiro for (net) 135 PP... tore up everything I could spare and even some dear alternatives to somehow scratch my way to 1,003 PP to buy a pack.
Worth it.

After barely scraping into the Wildcard Game in the Theta Tau Rookie League as 3rd of my division with an 84-78 record, and narrowly prevailing by one run, I ended up going 4-1 in the next series against my division leader - and then pulled off a clean sweep to pave my way to the final. I have no idea what's happening, but I'm loving it.

The Ottawa Champions of the PI LAMBDA league just swept Ryan's Big Stick to go on to the championship series.
Finished the season 93-69. Beat Seattle (94-68) 3 games to 1 and swept the Stick who were 100-62. I kind of wish that my team didnt do so well, this is far too addicting lol |

Would you look at that! Hi there, Kyiv Cossacks manager! That end-of-season run was straight up fire. I think if I hadn't picked up Enrique Hernandez in an auction toward the end (he went .457 for the last five games and scored another 0.4 WAR) we might have gotten at least a game 163. As it was, the Blue Sox and the Sounds ended up playing off to decide who had the privilege of losing to my guys first
![]() I'll defeat the Hawks for you, too, just you wait! Though I have to admit: their pitching scares the crap out of me. My pitching staff is way behind my batting lineup; I can only hope they maintain their ridiculous postseason form. Last edited by Silfir; 11-11-2018 at 05:47 PM. |

And now we're through to the World Series! Jed Lowrie hit a pinch-hit walk-off homer in Game Six to seal it for us.

My story:
Upon start of PT I had high expectations but they quickly got shattered when I found out that Challenge play didn't reward PP. So I opened my packs, got a coupled of 87 relievers and that was all worth mentioning. I let the computer control everything and let the first day run. After that I got a total of like 80 PP. I was done or so I thought. After a few days I decided to check it out again and noticed I had enough points to buy another pack. So I did and got a couple cards around 73. At this point I was sitting at 44-49 and dead last in my division. From here though I decided to mess around with the AH and this is when my interest started to increase. Bought some new players and sold some and ended up turning my whole season around. After all my moves, I ended up going 43-26 the rest of the way. Ended up missing the wildcard by 1 game...on the last game of the season. So I ended up having a lot of fun in the end and i'm looking forward to next season. I just have to make sure I avoid buying packs because I don't want to do that as then I'm paying to win and that isn't fun. Overall PT should be really fun, especially if I avoid the temptation to buy packs. My only negative feedback would that challenge mode achievements do not reward PP. |
