Won the division (93-69), though we went 2-8 down the stretch.

Our playoffs:

Los Angeles (88-74) vs. Brooklyn (93-69)
Adelaide (88-74) or Northwestern (93-69) vs. Illinois (102-60)

Everybody congratulate Markus: he managed to stumble into the last wildcard spot despite going 4-4 in the last 9 days of the season when his only competition went 2-6.

Edit: and he's done, losing the game 4-1 after Benito Santiago went 3-for-3 for him and the rest of his lineup went 1-for-26.

On September 2nd, my team had a 88.4% chance of making playoffs.

They missed the playoffs.

*deep sigh*

An epic division race on the last day of the season for my Houston High Heaters,

I needed a win to tie the division leaders.

We had been hot winning 9 of our last 10.

We cruised to an 11-3 lead after 7 innings.

My sterling bullpen would get the job done right?

It went to 1 out in bottom of the 9th clinging to an 11-7 lead....

Then Roy Face gives up a solo homer, 11- 8!

Edubray Ramos then loads the bases with a walk after Face is yanked and then Kevin Seitzer ('87) hits a grandslam we lose 11-12!!!

Unbelievable!

Still we are in the playoffs.....

I ended the month on a 5 game win streak to end up over .500 but missed the playoffs. 83-79 record.

I still only have one gold on my team. I am targeting a couple of silvers for slight improvements but can't afford any major improvements.

Noooooooooooooooooooo, Eddie why did you have to blow that save? And why, of all people, to Joc Pederson??

Wilbur Wood gets away with almost seven innings of throwing knuckleballs past Rod Carew, Bryce Harper, Josh Donaldson, Johnny Mize, George Springer, etc. with only a few runs surrendered, Goose and a few others set the table for Diaz perfectly in the 9th, and he gives Joc Freaking Pederson a pitch to hit?? *sigh*

If only my A.I. manager hadn't made Diaz close out the final game(s) of the season... ಠ_ಠ

Great season, great WC game, I'm pulling for you all the way!

Was comfortably in first place in my division until the beginning of September.

Then I made the mistake of upgrading my starting rotation with top-of-the-line pitchers and added a few mashers to the lineup as well.

Both my pitching and my hitting fell off a cliff for about two weeks after that. I was losing games by 10 runs and hanging on for dear life to a wildcard spot. All my expensive additions weren't performing well at all and I was missing my merry band of scrubs that had kept me in first place for so long.

Finally a strong bounce back in the last week of September allowed me to capture the first wildcard spot.

Unfortunately, my team lost the wildcard game 8-9 to a team that was much weaker on paper (with a lot of well-performing Bronze cards).

I had a blast, and it's gratifying to see that stacking a team with high-powered all-stars doesn't automatically guarantee a win.

Can't wait for next season.

Won the division in game 163 against the Syracuse Skychiefs. Luke Voit and Juan Marichal really carried the team.

Let a division lead slip, but we were a long way back early and hit strong form middle of the season, then lost game 163 to go into the wildcard and lost that game too.

The result - Gerritt Cole (93) up for auction... lol

Edit: Cole has been sold for 8,000 buy it now - I expect a playoff team wants to keep loading up their roster to win the championship.. that begs the question, is the strategy to sell your good cards now to the teams still in playoffs? And the second question, should new cards be able to be used during the playoffs?

94-68 and on to the play-offs ... after a slow start we had the second best record in the league

Did pretty well... My team made it into the Wildcard... They got blasted out 10-2 in the game... NOW, how is the sequence of moving up work.. If you made the WC in the Rookie league to do move up to single A tomorrow?

My $20 team went 96-66 and was bounced in the wild card by a team of silvers
Wasn't able to get my starter in that I wanted but the team still failed me

My best team (I thought) went 78-84 and missed the WC by 12 games. Syndergaard went 11-14 on the season. Harper and machado hit .257/.267. Disappointing season nevertheless

My team I expected the least from went 102-60 and won the division by 17 games after a close race through the first half. Patrick Corbin dominated going 13-5 with a 2.27 era. 3 golds and a diamond closer in the bullpen with a 2.51 bullpen era led the league. Whit Merrifield stole 61 bags on the season to lead the league. Team was 10th in hr 9th in obp. We will see how the playoffs go

finished 88-75, having won the extra game to get into the 2nd wildcard spot

had to defeat a 97 rated Scherzer using my 66 rated Ryu. game was tied 4-4 after 6 innings. his bullpen full of gold rated players. Ottavino gave up 2, and his Aroldis chapman gave up another 4 runs, for a 10-4 victory (my 2 RPs were rated 63 and 62)

his lineup had 2 diamonds and the rest golds. my lineup has 2 gold 4 silver and 3 bronzes

you CAN win on a budget in this game.

Great season, great WC game, I'm pulling for you all the way!

I woke up this morning to see WIN and then read the details. The whole rally came with two out. Joc was in my starter packs too. Great battle all season and I hope you come back strong next year (but in another division lol).
