HAHA... just like Blues fans. I'm at the AS break now and we are only 3 behind Chicago and Martinez and Weaver are out for the season.

I meant to post this yesterday when I was playing OOTPB and watching/listening to MLB.tv in the background. (What I do is to listen until I hear something interesting going on, then I will ALT+TAB out of OOTPB and over to MLB.tv for the replay.)
I am not making this up. Here are two actual difficulties:

NO, I stopped watching MLB Games (Or even being a Fan) in 1994 when they canceled the World Series

holy grudge, lol
they were just asking for pay commensurate with profits. something all labor should demand and th world would be a better place. billionaires and so-called "job creators" are the scourge of our existence and never let anythign trickle down without a staunch fight -- historically speaking. hate to break it to you, but the players aren't the greedy ones. they stil get less than they deserve. accounting is made to hide profits and reduce taxable income artifically. i've taken a graduate level accounting class or 2 while getting an MBA. this is undeniable truth about accounting. there are so many legal ways to hide your income it's %$#2ing disgusting. keep the masses poor and dumb and you get the political climate that you see today in america. a clear step backward the last 2-3 generations in most aspects of life outside of social issues. at least some people aren't as villified as they used to be for not "fitting in" to some nonsensical cultural norm of that society. |

Well I wouldn't necessarily say I'm "watching" a game but it is definitely on in the background I just keep it on the MLB channel while I sim/manage my fictional league like right now watching KC and DET play while I try to get my team over the .500 hump

Yes I do! I usually turn on the Indians game but I'll watch just about any game if it's their day off. Then I really get into my game, I'll hear the TV announcer get really excited about something, look up and realize I missed the play. Thank goodness for rewinding live TV!

when I was a kid it was rolling dice playing strat o matic and listening to AM radio broadcast of Giants games.
so 51 year old me is pretty ecstatic to be able to play OOTP and watch one of these things on the wall mounted 55" 4k in my office: Giants game live or DVR if I haven't seen it MLB TV switching around to follow my fantasy players or just good \ interesting games 30 for 30 or similar type docs you tube of past games \ highlights

MLB.tv is crazy expensive. I've bought packages like that for other leagues. I mean I get it, it's 162 full-length broadcasts, but come on. $90/season for a single team?
That said, I do tend to turn on MLB network on the TV all day and just let it go. When I feel like watching, I watch for 10-15 minutes, then go back to whatever I was doing. That's one of my favorite things about baseball, there's always so much of it and I like it for background noise. |
