Contraction
I typically do contraction on my MLB league when I play. I always struggle who to choose.
I found an article from 7 years ago talking about teams the league could do without. How a lot has changed since this list was published. Sneak peak, two of the teams listed have won the world series since this article. Also how could you not list Tampa Bay!!! http://bleacherreport.com/articles/5...uld-do-without |

The Cleveland Browns?
I know wrong sportI was actually thinking Miami even with the 2 championships. Ive watched the Cubs play there and it usually seems to be a lifeless stadium. We will see how it looks tomorrow for opening day when the Cubs are in town or add a salary cap and make every team relevant |

Don't you DARE contract my Fabulous Fighting Fish of South Florida! Hey we've had ownership problems these last 25 years. The ship is being righted now. Hopefully.

It's amazing with all the problems and reputation of the Marlins that they have two count them two world championships.

Easy ones:
Miami, Tampa Bay and San Diego Others: Pittsburgh: Smallish town, too many pro teams. Washington: In a huge market, still can't get to 3 million fans in a year Cincinnati: Smallish town, people for some ridiculous reason keep paying more attention to the Bengals. Oakland: Would rather relocate them, a lot of history here. White Sox: Let the Brewers and Cubs have this area. |

It all went bad in '01. In January the team was owned by John Henry and managed by Dave Dombrowski and all was right with the world. In December it was owned by Jeffrey Loria, fresh off destroying the Montreal Expos. He brought the whole staff that aided and abetted his malfeasance with him and for the next 17 years he taunted, tormented, and infuriated the fans, cities, players, and even the players union buy utterly ruining this franchise. I would not even spit on him if he were on fire. But now, things are turning around. That SOB is gone.

I do hope that the ownership team turns things around. I actually find the Marlins to be a team that plays like OOTP. Just destroy it and start over, that screams OOTP.

Nothing to do with history. Would come down to finances and stadium situation. That means the following teams would be considered:
Tampa Oakland Kansas City |

I have an idea for a league that i will probably never do. This was originally supposed to happen in my eBL vs MLB league but i am at 36 teams now and have plans for 4 more in the next 25 seasons. Contract 1 team from each city/state that has 2 teams and form them into 1. St Louis Royals wearing red and blue NY Yankees but wearing Met blue Chi Cubbiesox - I have uniforms for these. Miami Rays Philadelphia Pirates Cincinnati Indians SF A's LA Angels Houston Rangers Forgot who i am missing but then combine a few other teams. Think I had it at 20-24 teams.

I make these decisions based purely on emotion. If I think about a league that doesn't have Team 'X' in it, and that makes me shrug my shoulders, then that team can go.

Okay i live in Chicago right now and whatever you may think of the Sox, nobody around here gives 2 flying forks about the Brewers. In fact, when the Cubs travel up to Milwaukee to play them, those games basically become home games for the Chicago team. For that reason and because they are secretly actually the Seattle Pilots, I vote for the Brewers to be removed.
From the AL I'd get rid of the Angels on account of they're stupid and Mike Trout is a stupid head. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Mostly I'm a Seattle sports fan so screw the Brewers with all of the things that you screw with. Other than that, no offense.
You guys can show Chicago all of that; maybe that will make Cubs fan take the train up there on days the Cubs aren't playing to double your attendance then as well.

As a Yankee fan I would highly suggest the Boston Red Sox be in that group.

Both Florida teams can go away, and Houston an Milwaukee can change places.
