TRC Clarification

Hello -

I have a question about Talent Randomness Change (TRC). Is TRC for youth affected by playing time? Specifically, do players who get regular playing time in the minor league get more chance of TRC than those who do not play?

I am in an online league where I am not getting a straight answer. One person indicates that TRC in the minors is independent of playing time while another says it helps.

What is the answer? Should I continue to monitor and cut very bad, underdeveloping players who are taking PT from someone else or have rosters greater with significant dead weight to catch TRC?

Thanks.

TRC can happen to any player. Basically, it's just random chance, the OOTP equivalent of a guy coming into spring training with a new swing or something. With a TRC boost a player can go from having a 40/80 CON to a 60/80 (although that kind of jump would be *really* rare). Development on the other hand is something that generally happens to a player before he's 25 and maxes out, more or less, at his potential ratings,

So what do you set your roster max at for MiLs for the most efficient development/catch of TRC?

Be careful it's a "talent change" not a "talent increase". Setting it above 100 increases the chance for changes and below 100 decreases the chance. The thing is setting way above 100 can cause a late round pick to blossom but just as easily cause your stud 1st rounder to flame out.

I believe that it makes no difference whether they are playing or sitting the bench, and the level at which you have them at (even the majors) makes no difference either.
