he may not be in the games data base (i haven't looked) but he is in Spritze database. How good he is, i can't answer, as i am still back a few years from his entrance - well, 104 years ... i'm into 1910 right now.) Anyway ... hope this helps a bit.

He is not in OOTP 18 since he is not a MLer and to my knowledge *** does not ship with real players. I added him through the Spritze dB as a rookie and edited his 2017 stats into his Potential. AI doesnt know how to use 2 way players, or i dont know how to make the AI use 2 way players.

The AI doesn't know how to use two way players. Markus had an interview this year where he talked about that, specifically in reference to Ohtani. The thing is, two way players are *exceedingly* rare in the major leagues and there's a really good argument that, Ohtani or no, spending a lot of time getting the AI to use these once-every-third-generation players (I mean, other than Ohtani and Babe Ruth, these guys are more like gimmick type players a la Brooks Kieschnick) is taking time away from fixing things that really matter at best and adding something that might screw up the AI for the overwhelming majority of players who just aren't good enough to play both ways at worst.

Any player in any of the leagues we include with the game that exists in real life exists in OOTP!

Just load up a league using the quickstart with all the current leagues or start a new standard game including the Japanese League and he'll be there!

Is he a beast? That's depend on just what happens in your league, but he's certainly rated highly enough that there should be a pretty good chance he is

I signed him in my solo game at the start of the 2023 season and used him as a starting pitcher and DHed him twice a week and he had a good season for me....went 16-9 with a 3.48 ERA, struck out 220 (202 IP) and walked 58 in 30 starts. He ended up hitting .284 with 5 HR and 22 RBIs in 30 games for me. I think he came in 2nd in RoY. This season he got hurt when DHing so I did not use him there as much, but finished 14-10 with a 4.71 ERA in 28 starts (178 SO in 191 IP) and ended up hitting .260 with 2 homers and 10 RBIs.

I have him signed for 6 more seasons so hopefully he continues to be a solid player.

If you have the *** and MLB leagues the proper way to get him over to the majors would be to take over the Nippon Ham Fighters team and post him after the season is over. I did that and a team quickly snatched him up. They played him as a reliever though but he did pretty good.

I'm sorry. I did not know that non MLB leagues had real players. My *** dates back to OOTP 13. I hardly play the 2017 QS.
