Sure, I didn't think anyone was interested anymore. Haha, but you all are welcome to do it.

Just simmed the 2157 season after rebooting this dynasty AGAIN in OOTP18.
Here's a copy of the league file from a few seasons ago, for OOTP18. It won't be up-to-the-minute accurate to the simming I've done, but the history is there. I'm trying to get my writing chops back, so I'm going to fork this dynasty and just write about everything I've been doing and stuff. But if you'd like a player added to the storyline, go ahead and comment and I can get you setup. We're currently at 32 teams in the major leagues (up from 28 last season) after a massive restructuring of things. Like I said, I'll be documenting the stories in another thread, but will use this thread to update on the progress of custom players as I create them, etc. For the three guys from the last generation that I never started tracking, I've added you to the HS/College feeders in this setup and we'll track your progress as you get drafted and beyond. More to come, but it's been fun to get immersed in a little baseball the past week or so, so we'll see how it goes as I start storylining again. Quote:

Actually, the 3rd generation guys (Hamm/Synder/Lovejoy) are going to just be dudes in their mid-to-late 20s who are all start their careers overseas after being in the military/playing college basketball/football or something else. I don't want them to be the same ages as the 4G incoming guys.

Here's the current setup of the majors. Yes, there are one too many teams, that's part of the storyline of where I'm going to start writing from. There was a consolidation from post pro/rel that I'd been using for the past few seasons (mostly to test out the feature since it was possible) but now I've consolidated things again, the majors expanded from 28 to 32, a team will get folded and we'll move from here.
Mostly posted in case you wanted to pick a favorite team to root for the next 100 years. (We're in Year 357)

BASEBALL IN PORTLAND, ONCE AGAIN
Portland has been home to major league baseball three previous times in the 357 years of ABA Baseball. PORTLAND ROADRUNNERS (1923-73) The Roadrunners were PDX first team, they won the Daylight Series twice ('24, '46) during their stay and made the post-season 11 times during the 50 seasons in town. They left in 1974 for Rio Grande Valley, Texas where they stayed until 2032, spent 10 years in Oklahoma City, Tacoma for 78 seasons and became the Salt Lake City Alpines in 2124, which are still active in the league. PORTLAND SOCKEYES (2028-32) The Sockeyes were the city's 2nd team, but only lasted five years. They made the post-season twice, winning the NL Pennant in 2032 before losing to the SF Peanuts in the 234th Daylight Series. They moved to Modesto, California to become the Tomatoes and in 2045, became the El Paso Sun Kings who still exist to this day. PORTLAND BREWERS (2064-2116) The most recent Portland team were the Brewers who had the longest tenure of any other club in the city. The team spent its first 15 years in California before moving to PDX in 2064. In 52 seasons, the Brewers did have some success winning three Daylight Series titles (2074, '99, 2111) This time, the Philadelphia Veterans are headed west to Portland to become the Portland Blue Herons. What's interesting about Portland relative to a lot of former ABA cities, is that they've got five championships left behind and no team that's ever lived in Portland didn't make at least one Daylight Series appearance. That's a legacy worth adding to & perhaps this time, the team will actually stay behind a while. |

Hah, I used to love this dynasty. I don't play OOTP much anymore but glad I saw this. I'll add a player.
Name: Robby Scott (somehow related to Shane Scott, who I once had in this dynasty) Birthplace: San Francisco, CA Position: RP Bats: L Throws: L Most comparable past/current major leaguer to your player: Kenley Jansen

I've added Robby to the game, he went 3rd overall to Louisville in this year's draft. We'll follow his progress.
One of the 3rd generation guys Gary Hamm didn't get drafted, ended up in Japan and after years of raking over there, (ignore the 2158 season, there was a snafu with the league totals that screwed up Japanese stats that year) he spent a year in the independent leagues here in the states and still has yet to make a major league debut. At his age, I'm not sure he will at 32 years old but...after 5 MVP awards (4 in Japan, 1 in the independent leagues in the US) he's clearly got major league talent.

Caleb Miller went 6th overall to the El Paso Sun Kings in the most recent draft. He finished 3rd in the Rookie of the year voting
