I've been meaning to ask this for some time...
Why are these words upside down on the opening screen?
And why is there a duck on the screen? What is the story behind it? Thx |

It's the company that designed OOTP's GUI. I think they also do work for Football Manager (and in fact I think the SI "merger" is how they got to know each other).

without asking them, who knows. i see them as being upside down, too, not just one letter.
-i could see the whole word being flipped upside down to reach "pisd" from "disp.", which may be short for display, since it makes UI. -the "i" could be dipping its head into the water like its mascot would do. that would be good conclusion, too. it's just some artsy b.s. logo of a contrbuting entity to ootp. like "Rite Aid" mispelling "right" for no reason. (actually in this case i think the guy was just a bad speller, but similar results, imo).... <branding meeting>: let's put this I upside down so it sticks in their memory.... or maybe they thought it just looked cool and had no particular logical reason to do it = art. |
