Eagles. Cincinnati is named after the Society of Cincinnati, and its insignia is the bald eagle.

If this was a minor league dynasty, or if you were still in the early 20th century, I would totally suggest the Soapmakers. But probably not what you're looking for, given you're in 1987.

Cincinnati Kings or Monarchs (reference to the Queen City)
Cincinnati Continentals - (The Society of the Cincinnati, Inc. is a patriotic-hereditary society founded in 1783, to preserve the ideals and fellowship of officers of the Continental Army.) Cincinnati Hogs or Packers - (Porkopolis was coined around 1835, when Cincinnati was the country's chief hog packing center, and herds of pigs traveled the streets.) |

On May 4th 1869, the Cincinnati Red Stockings played the first professional baseball game.

I never had a Cincinnati team, so I don't have much to offer there. However, I use the Atlanta generals. I have a logo and uniform for those teams. It's a bit retro looking, so I don't know how well it would look with you. You can check out the logo on the site in my signature. If you like it I can post the uniforms

"As god is my witness, I thought that turkeys could fly."
![]() I was more of a northern Ohioan, but the city was most synonymous to the river to me as well. Riverboats, Steamers, something like that. Kroger and P&G have headquarters there. Not sure where that leads to a team name. The Diaper Kings? ![]() While really more of a Dayton thing, the area north of Cincy has a strong aviation/space connection. Wright Bros, Wright-Patterson AFB, Neil Armstrong. You could get away with something like Bombers, Fighters, Rockets, yada yada yada. |

As a tribute to a movie, I'd go with Cincinnati Rain Men.

and you could call the stadium "The Nut House"!
