Need Nickname Ideas For Cincinnati
In my ABF league I currently have the Cincinnati Reds, once the Redlegs. Trying to get away from many MLB names.
Also need an idea for Atlanta. They have been the Peaches in the past and will be the Coca Colas for a brief time in the future. And while this is not the Mods forum, if you have logos or jerseys could you post them.

Cincinnati is known for Skyline Chili, is on the Ohio River and is known as the Queen City. You could call them:

I've always liked the Cincinnati Royals, I think it slides off the tongue well.
If you want alliteration, you could call them the Cincinnati Coneys, which is what we call a chili dog in the Queen City. Traditionally, Cincinnati was known for its slaughterhouses, and an early nickname for the town was "Porkopolis". There are many pig-themed institutions in the city, so if you're looking for local flavor, I would suggest going down the pig route. It will also give you a cute-and-cuddly mascot. I'll post more ideas as I think of them.

Royals would work the best. i have tons of Royals uniforms and Royal blue is not often used in my league although Kansas City Huskers use it. And i could easily do some Red royals jerseys.
What about Atlanta? Would like to stay away from Flames. i plan on using some Flames jerseys for future Chicago Fire jerseys.

Peaches? Crackers? The original name of Atlanta was Terminus, so something with a train theme?

As a native Cincinnatian whose favorite animal is the otter, I heartily endorse this!

They are called the rebels now sporting a Confederate battle flag on their logo, Crackers (I know about the real name a bit) is too controversial moving into the 90's. Anyone have any good bootleggers, moonshiners or NASCAR nicknames?

Yes, but they'd be better for a Charlotte team...

Any set of options requires a few mediocre ones to compare against - here's one of those
![]() ![]() And (tic) for Atlanta there's always the Shermans
