So while doing a tournament of the 16 best baseball teams I could think of, I played this series between the 1927 Yankees and the 1970 Orioles. The Yankees had a 3-0 series lead (best of 7) so I thought the series was basically over. Well.... it wasn't. Baltimore came all the way back to tie the series at 3. In game 7 up by 1 in the bottom of the 9th, they choke. Not to mention they were already up by 3 early in the game.

Just thought I share a cool game that I got to witness

Man, do I love those Win Expectancy charts. They're things of beauty. With them and 3D view the game's just gotten so much more visually interesting this year.

Cool stuff!

I'm new to OOTP and I'm looking to do the same thing, but with 64 teams and each matchup being a 154 game 'season'.

Maybe you can answer this question. I'm coming from Diamond Mind Baseball and each season has an era that basically normalizes the data for that season. Just because a team scored 900+ runs in 2003 doesn't mean they're an offensive juggernaut. Does OOTP have some sort of normalization for this? Or will the 1968 Detroit Tigers be a poor offensive team just because they played in a pitcher's era? And will the 2003 Boston Red Sox be an offensive powerhouse because of the era they played in?
