2016 Prediction

Hey guys, just setting up my 17 to start my official "The Long Dark" season. This consists of simming the first season of a MLB quickstart. In that sim, Oakland is facing LAD in the World Series (trade frequency was set to low for the season).

Just found it interesting that OOTP17 is identifying Oakland as the AL winner this year. LA doesn't seem to far fetched, but come on, Oakland!?

Sim the 2016 season about 100 more times with the same settings and if Oakland still keep making the World Series then there might be something to look at. But 1 sim is 1 sim, the other AL teams could've had injuries, players underperformed and everything clicked for the A's in that sim.

A lot of people are saying the A's could surprise this year, actually.

I have to admit.
I have run two seasons with each beta test.
The NY Mets have a good team in this year's roster set and have reached the playoffs twice and lost in the world series and lost in the NLCS.

However, the team the roster set really likes this year, besides the NY Mets, is the CLE Indians.
Made the world series in BOTH of my Beta Test Leagues.
Won 1 and lost 1.

Their pitching is really good. That wouldn't shock me at all.

In my prediction Mike Trout suffered a CEI on the first game and the Angels finished 60-102. On a completely unrelated note, I edited Mike Trout to give him a CEI and then edited down all the abilities of the remaining good Angels players until they were replacement level.
