I'm in 1919 and confused as hell. I have minors on and my team has a Texas League affiliate. I have a roster size of 25 and a secondary roster size of 40.
How do I simply send a guy down to the reserve roster? I've never used minors before and just flipped a player to the reserve roster which is no longer an option for me. I can waive him, release him, but I just can't put him on the reserve roster. In fact, there is no reserve roster. When a player gets injured and I put him on the DL I activate someone from what I thought was my reserve roster. My player is now ready to return but I can't see where I move my replacement player. I can release him, waive him, waive him and designate player for assignment, or designate player for assignment. None of these is a simple answer. Surely there must be a way just to "send the guy down". Help me if you can I'm feeling down.

If you have MLB Roster set at 70 causes problems with Top Prospects and other problems but is fun to do. Also unaffiliated Teams wil
Sign guys but you can't purchase or Trade guys from those Teams because League might be Affiliated with your League.

That's what it seems to me. Either we need a better explanation on how to correctly set-up a league with the new features or something's broken

not my majors - the 40 man roster .... but i only have 16 extra players in the roster, though it COULD hold 70. i just was experimenting with a test game to see how many players were allowed in what "department" (minors, reserve, 40 man) and in what years (years with minors and without.) Just an experiment to help me understand this new historical minors thing. (going slowly i must admit .....)

I play with both reserves and the minors. I don't use affiliates but freeze minor league team rosters if I want too use them as an affiliate. Example-Boston Blizzard(Major League)-New England Blizzard(Minor League)-They aren't affiliated but because they use the same nickname I use them as an affiliate. If you want the Toronto Blue Jays to have a reserve roster and have Syracuse as an affiliate change the Syracuse name in the IL to Syracuse(TOR) that way you know they are an affiliate. Then move players around as much as you like(w/ player editor). Since I have over 200 plus team leagues I'm not going too do this with every team. Drag & drop them in the team transactions screen from the DFA area (after the passed waivers) to the minor league team's box.

How well is the AI dealing with this? Do teams have enough players on the roster to use injuries set to normal or higher?

Thanks Markus for fixing the historical draft class Potential rating issue.
But has anyone figured out what's going on here yet. No Reserves or minors for 1921 Brooklyn? |
