91 Twins were my favorite team as well, but the '87 Twins started my love of baseball. I sucked up as much about baseball as I could after that year.

For some reason, the A's of the early '70s hold a special place in my heart. Maybe it was their uniforms.

I thought all those guys were stars. Maybe no HOFers, but Morris, Gibson, Whitaker, Trammel, Hernandez were all national stars.

Faves ~

If I must pick a favorite, it's the 1977 Kansas City Royals that won 102 games but couldn't get past the Yankees (for three straight years). That team was seriously loaded — their lineup makes the 2015 World Champions look paltry. Then again ... a bullpen would have been nice in 1977.

Anyway, I think I've simmed that 1977 KC team 4 times in the past three years. I've won as many as 109 games with them once and as few as 88.

STILL can't get them past those damned Yankees. In three simmed trips to the playoffs, they lost in 4 games, in 3 games and in 5 games. The 88-win team finished five or six games behind the 1977 Rangers.

I also love sim-ming with the 1986 Mets. My guiltiest pleasure is simming the 1936 Yankees. For all the talk about how great the 1927 or 1939 Yanks were .... oh, dudes! That 1936 squad can seriously rake.
