Post Looking for a League that Fits Certain Criteria

I'm looking for a league that fits the following criteria:

-does not use modern day baseball teams or players (historical is fine though and so is fictional of course)
-has been around for at least 2 full seasons
-has consistently prompt sims
-has a veteran commish with a good rep
-has at least 16 teams (more is better though)
-has divisions with no more than 6 teams
-has a strong base of active owners (at least 12), and by active I mean owners that somewhat regularly communicate with the other owners either by msg board or trade talks

I think that's all I'm looking for. If you think you know of a league that fits the above criteria please post the link to its site. Thanks!

EDIT: If you happen to know the # of people on the waiting list for the league you mention, please post that as well.

-has been around for at least 2 full seasons SIXTH SEASON
-has consistently prompt sims YES!
-has a veteran commish with a good rep HMM, NOT SURE ON THIS ONE
-has at least 16 teams (more is better though) 24!
-has divisions with no more than 6 teams 4 PER DIVISION
-has a strong base of active owners (at least 12) THE MOST ACTIVE I KNOW!

United States Baseball Association (USBA) meets all criteria as Cooley pointed out.
The problem is getting a team. It's a good problem to have if you are the Commissioner

Green Monsta League is currently full but fits your criteria.

In our 6th season, historical with a twist, All-Time Great players and owners create fictional players every other season.

Began in 1975, now in 1981.

Very prompt simming, 16 teams, moderately active owners.

My rep I cannot speak for, I think I run a good league and owners enjoy it.

Will be expanding next season to 18, then to 20 two years later.

Link in my sig.

If you like the historical/fictional/all-time great mix, Green Monsta is a very good league. I've been in it for a over a (calendar) year, and it doesn't show any signs of letting up. Sims are very prompt and Steve is a great commish.

Baseball Maelstrom fits all but one of those categories, but in a few more seasons, we'll be mostly fictional/historical too.

The FOBL meets all of those criteria, but we have some criteria of our own for potential new owners...

They must:

- own a pair of pink fuzzy high heels and butt-less chaps
- be willing to fetch a fresca or mini cheesecake for current owners at the drop of a hat
- own honest-to-goodness naked pictures of Bea Arthur (none of that doctored crap you can pull off of Kaaza)
- enjoy gargling with peanut butter

The FOBL, we're not elitist, we just have very special requirements.

What Cooley said:

ABA

No current openings, but you never know what will happen.

Edit,

The Global Managers Challenge is also a very good league that meets most of your criteria. It's been around a loong time.

What Dan was *trying* to say:

The NGBL is actually pretty close to what you're looking for. We do have real teams (and even a few real players floating around), but the league is currently in 2015 and going strong (in our 4th season of human ownership).
Some teams have reloacted, and we just recently completed our first ever expansion.

Here's a link to our recent ad:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...threadid=41257

The sim schedule is as rigid as one could possibly be. We're currently doing 3 sims a week, all done live via chat.

We have 32 teams (2 leagues, 4 divisions each), with a great, active ownership. The forums are bustling, with good banter and some of our owners do great team / league write ups.

i always forget our league started w/ real rosters...lol....i consider it a fictional league but yes, there are some real players still floating around...like Adam Dunn and Hank Blalock, etc... anyway i still think we fit ur criteria.... but thanx to Sir High&Mighty Paul for clearing up the "fictional" league discrepency

I wanted to say thanks for all the responses I received, posts, PMs, and emails!

I have not made a decision yet and I don't really want to right away. When I have more time I'd like to sit down and really look over all the leagues I had singled out previously and all the other ones that have been brought to my attention. I wouldn't have minded waiting on a waiting list for a good league, but with all the great ones out there that fit my strict criteria, I don't think I'll have to.

All the leagues look very solid. Hopefully this has brought some good publicity to those posted.
