I was at a game about 10 years ago between the Tigers & Rangers. Tigers scored 8 runs in the top of the 5th to take a 14-4 lead. Half a inning later it was 14-14. Rangers won 16-15 in 10 innings.

This is the longest game I have ever played out in OOTP, going back to OOTP '99!
Thankfully, I won. If I would have lost, I think I might have broken something...... The League is currently in 1885 and we play it like they did back then in real life (or as close as we can in OOTP). McLeod shut them out for 8.2 innings and then, with runners at 2nd and 3rd, P Harry Lamb singled them both home to tie the game and make me apoplectic. Times we nearly lost it: In the bottom of the 10th, the Haymakers got a runner to 3rd with only 1 out. In the bottom of the 11th, Troy's lead-off man reached second on a 2-base throwing error, but the next batter lined to centerfield and the runner was doubled off. In the bottom of the 15th, Troy got a man into scoring position with 1 out, and 3rd with 2 outs (Passed ball anyone? They are very plentiful in 1885). In the bottom of the 18th, the Haymaker's lead-off man reached second on a single and an error, but went no further. McLeod retired the last 11 batters of the game. We scored in the 21st on a lead-off single by CF Dusty Godwin. He stole 2nd and went to third on the catcher's error. 2b Jocko Cole then hit one to the warning track in center to score a run. We had 15 scoreless innings in between runs. ![]() |

.Amazing 9th innings comeback by the cellar-dwelling Metros against the contending Pelicans.

Tied 10-10 in bottom top of 12th, score 11 runs for a 21-10 win in extra innings.

While not an "official" no hitter in the record books, I was on the losing end of a 1-0 game as the Oakland A's where my pitchers didn't give up a hit but ending up losing the game anyways.

This 18 inning game in my first season playing OOTP15 was notable for the LOB totals of my Whispers, both as a team and individually.. My backup catcher left 16 on all by himself!

You can edit players in OOTP, but you're not fooling anyone. That's Ryan Howard.

This is from ver 11 but by far the most memorable, crazy game I've played. I've got this saved in html format but don't know how to post it here with proper formatting. This gives an idea though. 31 inning, 8-6 game with a time of 9:09. If anyone can tell me how to post the file with better formatting, I'll give it a shot.

We're playing out the string. Three games in Oklahoma, who are only 76-70, but that leads a mediocre division of theirs. They have the WORST offense in the league, so of course the Raccoons get clobbered in the first one, 9-1. Lose the second one, too.
We have our young stallion on the mound for the third game, 202 K on the year. He's out of control, drilling two batters in the second inning. What follows is a sorry parade of fails and would-hope-to-be's conspiring to blow a 6-1 lead in the eighth and ninth, then leave two men on in the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 16th. For the bottom 16th, facing all right-handers, we had the choice between Monday's righty starter (Randy Farley), an overworked righty rookie (Lawrence Rockburn), a terrible AWO* righty who nevertheless no-hit the always-anemic Crusaders a few years back - somehow - but has a sore wrist, and a lefty rookie with a 21.00 ERA. Everybody else had been used. And I picked wrong twice. I don't think I have EVER used a dozen pitchers in a game! And the true lemon here is, if that game had gone just a little bit longer... Neil Reece would have led off the 18th, and after this game he sits just two hits shy of the franchise hits record at 1,884. More in the cuddly losers' dynasty thread. *Atrocious WipeOut - whenever mop-up pitching doesn't cut it!

Yay?
What the box score doesn't say: this was on Sunday. I blew out Monday's and Tuesday's starters in relief, and completely unmentioned goes a reliever playing first base, a catcher playing first base, and a shortstop playing centerfield, AND that a guy got his 3,000th career hit in this mess, when Vonne Calzado singled off Rémy Lucas in the ninth inning (when the world was still turning the right way). Game ended 4:16am Eastern. The Thunder and those Breakfastcoons have something for another, huh?

(Ie)Yoshi Nomura just hit a walkoff RBI double on Monday against the Tijuana Condors. Technically, that's two walkoffs in one day, adding to the mystery of the game above.

Game 4, 1996 ALCS: The epic start of the greatest playoff series comeback ever seen. I didn't play these out myself, as neither was my team...but wow!

The Crazy Game Thread - Share the boxscores of your wildest games!
I had a crazy game in the 8th inning.this is on MLB Manger iOS.
It was a normal game into the 8th. However, I ended up getting 12 runs in one inning thanks to a total of 4 home runs. Two of those being Grand Slams. Two grand slams in an inning!!! ![]()

I've posted this before, but this one was pretty wild (both me and the AI ran out of relievers, but I actually used a position player and my next day's starter instead of leaving a guy in for 88 pitches (Cumberland was a 1B, Pantall was the SP).

Simmed 100 years of history for a new solo project... and this happened. By the way, three of Columbus's four runs were unearned, with the only earned run being a homer in the seventh. The player who hit the homer batted in the 26th inning with a chance to win the game...
...and bunted the pitcher to second, contributing to the winning rally.

Played 19 innings each on consecutive days against the Smelly Waste Elks of the North, the first day being a double header where part deux ran long, and then, this below.
It's not that wild a game after all by itself. But... how often do you play TWO double-length+ games in a season!? And win them both!

Combined No Hitter
![]() very interesting coincendence that I clicked on this thread while waiting for latest patch to DL and this was the next game I played. due to injury to SP and 52min rain delay I needed 6 pitchers to combine on a no-hitter. Never came close to anything like this before.

I'm just going to stop posting the marathon games now and focus on other stuff... but not before I bring in a blast from the past. (OOTP13)

just happened the other day,
Game 1 of the league championship series, my best hitter is riding pine due to getting hit on the hand in the final inning of the previous series. we fall behind 6-0 early. flood gates open in the middle innings but we still trail by 6 going into the bottom of the 9th. 2 out, nobody on in the bottom of the 9th.
