High School Draftees aged 22?
Not sure if I'm missing something with the American High School system, is it likely to see a 22 year old High Schooler entering the draft?
I have just noticed my draft has many high schoolers in the 21-22 range. I can understand being left back a year or two in school at times and graduating from high school at 20, but 22 seems high, am I missing something? Last edited by Dr.K; 04-08-2015 at 11:35 AM. |

So, yes if this game is showing 20-22 year old high schoolers then that is a huge error, and bug. |

But ya as for 20+ year olds. Even if a school had a 20+ year old high schooler, or even allowed one (there are adult schools for 20+ kids who haven't completed high school yet) to attend, they definitely wouldn't be eligible to play high school sports. Are you certain they're high-schoolers and not college players?

This can happen if you change the age limits. If you have set the minimum age to 22, then high schoolers will have to be 22. In some of my leagues, I set the maximum age to 17 and therefore I get college players who are 17.

That still sounds like a bug. Age limits should be for playing in the league, not existing in the game.

I don't follow. If you create a league that has a minimum age of 9 and a maximum age of 13, whether you call it high school, pros, or the major leagues, it will and should have 9-13 year olds in it. If you set an age limit for HS of 22, you will get 22 year old high schoolers. The game doesn't know what "high school" means any more than it knows who Derek Jeter is.

If you have your draftee age limits set to something other than default, you HAVE to have high schoolers and college players in the draft with non-default ages. That's not a bug.....

I have noticed the same thing and was just about to start a thread. I had quite a few 21-year old HS players in the draft. Is there an easy way to find these players so I can provide screenshots?

Go into MLB- League Info - Draft Log I can see all the college and HS players there, I cannot for the life of me remember how to do a screenshot! Am trying now

Is it a bunch or just a few? If a player does not sign or get drafted, he can sit in the pool for several years and be 21 or 22. He will still be considered as coming from High School, but if you look at his stat line, it will be from 3 or 4 years ago.
Edit: If you use settings where you generate several more rounds of players than are drafted, you will see this more often. Last edited by Questdog; 04-08-2015 at 05:15 PM. |

I haven't messed with my settings period, and it is almost every single high schooler. Definitely a bug. |
