Does Markus play as much as the rest of us?

I wanted to know if hes just as addicted to this great game as we are, or do he stay well away from it like Billy Beane so that he doesnt self destruct it?

He has to work coding the game and squashing many small irritating bugs. I visualize him like a Starship Trooper.

If he played as much as some of the guys on here, he wouldn't have time to improve it

I can say for myself, I don't play as much now as I used to, but I have gotten a couple seasons in the last few weeks testing, and it hasn't lost its luster. I'm still amazed by what the game is capable of, even if when I play I often can't go more than a few days before fixing a contract loophole that I just exploited.

I can confirm that Markus has never played OOTP. He plays Warhammer and top trumps.

I told Markus today that I finished my season with 109 wins, his reply back,

"I don't think I've ever gotten more than 90 wins in any season."

If he restricted his house rule of only signing German born players he might do better.

I seem to recall Daniel Okrent, putative inventor of rotisserie baseball, admitting that he never once won his own game. So maybe Markus is in good company there...

I had a German player in one of my fictional leagues hit about .360 for his career. So sometimes you can get a top talent.
