Create a league set in 1901, based on real-life history but w/ fictional players. MLB, minor-leagues, negro leagues, and eventually all the main foreign leagues. Sim until about 1940 or so, then take over one of MLB's worst teams and try to re-build 'em.

I've tried this several times before on previous versions and never made it past the mid-'60s cuz I'd always discover problems with it. Either I screwed something up, or something in the game wasn't working the way I expected, or just flat-out didn't work at all (like the "allow free agents from other leagues to leave/enter" feature a couple of versions ago, which would cause a bunch of Japanese guys to migrate to all the other leagues by the '30s/'40s). So the very first thing I'll be doing is to run a few quick sims of some test leagues to check a few things, and hopefully prevent having to completely re-start after a few decades...

But I've decided I'll start another game and play the 2015 MLB quickstart. I haven't fully decided on the team yet, but I'm thinking of taking over the Cubs. I'll also be moving the Tampa Rays to Montreal.

What are your plans?
I like to change Tampa Bay to Montreal too.

I will probably start my fictional league, Klewshire Baseball League, that I had intended to start in ootp15, but never got around to it. I have been fine tuning it with mods and such.

I kept trying to tweak the settings to my liking. I am currently planning out the league:
  • What year do I want to start?
  • How many teams to start with?
  • How long I want to sim in between expansions?
  • Figure out the rules.

I will be crazy-busy until almost September, so I will probably just do my usual and start with the current St Louis Cardinals roster. Tempting to add Oscar Tavares, but will resist to maintain accuracy. I am quite intrigued to see what JaHey can do. Will try to land a high-upside arm or two as well in the MLB amateur draft (but hey, who isn't?).

I really want to join an online league for the first time, but doubt my schedule will permit, unfortunately.

I'm already preparing within the OOTP15 framework, working on two historical leagues, one in commish mode , the other one just controlling one team.

I'm going to start a fictional league that I've been thinking about and testing for the past 6 months.

Begin in 1884.

Create two leagues and associate them.

MLB, PCL, and Negro League players will play in one league and follow baseball rules according to real-life history.

The other league will run w/fictional players and free agency will be allowed right away.

Each league will play their own respective playoffs.

At the end of each season, I'll do an association playoff using all of the teams from each league.

All teams are fictional.

I'll probably be setting this league up until OOTP20 unless I can find a way to hire an assistant.

The biggest thing for my game is testing league totals and such to get stats the way I want them.
