What are your initial plans for OOTP 16?

First, I'll transfer over my long running MLB league that started in OOTP14 as well as my fictional league started in OOTP15.

But I've decided I'll start another game and play the 2015 MLB quickstart. I haven't fully decided on the team yet, but I'm thinking of taking over the Cubs. I'll also be moving the Tampa Rays to Montreal.

What are your plans?

I'll definitely do a fresh start with the Cubs, and I'll transfer at least one of the custom leagues I have(but won't be playing it initially for a few weeks at least).

Same as normal probably, make a few test leagues, sim them for 20 years to see what sort of numbers I get, then make a fictional league and play it until I get bored lol.

Even though I intend to pre-order the game, my initial plans are the same as always: monitor the forums and wait at least until the first patch comes out. The rest of you are my guinea pigs.

More seriously, I'll be converting my current fictional league that I created in OOTP 13. I used to create a new league with every new version of OOTP, but I've grown attached to my current league, which is now in its 35th season. I'll be very interested to see how the league performs with the reworked financial system. If the financial AI is stronger this year, that should keep me interested for a while yet.

I think I'll start fresh as the GM of the Yanks (If no one else has the sense to fire Cashman, I will). Since the intellectual titans running the Bronx Thinkery opted not to sign Max Scherzer, it should be a tough road to hoe just keeping that collection of overpaid jalopies and fragile curiosities above the .500 mark.

BTW, if I sound like a bitter Yankee fan that's because I AM!

I really want to become addicted to this game and not let the addiction die. I have started with OOTP14 and then 15 and now 16. I have two franchises that I played 4 season and 2 seasons with... I would love to get 20+ years deep like a lot of you's on this board. I always say I will carry my league over but I start a new one each time.

I think with all the new features in 16 I will start fresh. I like to start modern day MLB. So my plans are to take bottom feeder team and try to turn them into a dynasty. I still kind of "suck" at taking full advantage of this game and really getting into it and all it has to offer... so I need to do a better job at that in this version. I think I may try GM only mode as that is more up my ally.

Maybe for the first time ever I will also try out my own made up fictional world and expand it as time (in game) goes on! We shall see!

All I know is I am excited and will be pre-ordering for the first time in my OOTP career!

Starting a new Blue Jays MLB season from quick start. Then transferring my CBL (Canadian Baseball League) OOTP15 league over to OOTP16. That CBL fictional league is a lot of fun, been playing OOTP since version 1 and it's the first time that I am enjoying and sticking with a fantasy league.

Going to play the Game, as simple as I can, to start the Fictional League ... just to conquer my being overwhelmed by so many options ... since, this is really the only true PC Baseball game that has the stamp of MLB approval ... so I need to do this ... I may select the PCL, as my League setting ...

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated ...

I do usually run two leagues. One historical league starting from 2005, the other 2015 opening day. My historical is usually with the Yankees, and my opening day league is usually a last place team.
