I'm picking two. A Catcher and a Closer. The Catcher was also great in College. I followed him, and was able to acquire him after his ROY season. The closer was just awesome for me. Though I have a history of picking good closers in online and solo leagues.

The thing is, in OOTP depending on your league settings and so forth, it's hard to say. Fast-sim though over a few hundred years produces some nice players.

This was not a fast sim. I started the league based 200 years in the future, 2214. When I play I sim a week at a time. I started this particular league on OOTP 14.

Probably not my best player of all time, but he is a current pitcher on my team. He's getting up there in age and battled injury the past few years, so he's not as dominant as he once was, but I'm impressed with the amount of consecutive Jason Beveridge awards (my leagues version of the Cy Young)..He won the award in 2030 thru 2037 and won it again in 2040 (finished 3rd for the award in 2038, despite getting injured thus ending his season in early August). To me, that's just damn good!

This guy recently retired in my league. I also had a 400+ win pitcher a few years back (on present-day settings), but I didn't save any info on him.

No editing. International FA signing for $12.5 mil. I blew my budget out at the time, but it was worth it. He just got hit #4257 on a HR at Yankee Stadium. Despite being a prototype #3 hitter, I led him off most of his career, so he might get the needed ABs to hit some milestones.
ROY, 6 MVP, 10 GG, 17 AS Sadly only one World Series winner on the resume and that as a rookie.
