Question Would anyone be interested in.........

.....joining a league with an unbiased commish. I don't know if there are any leagues in which the commish doesn't own a team, but I have been toying around with the idea. I just want to see if there would be interest. I am currently in two leagues now as a GM/Owner, so I thought it would be fun to give this idea some thought. Plus I would be able to give my full attention to running the league and not having to actually manage a team. Please let me know if anyone would be interested. I am also open to suggestions.

Laseron (LBA) and TSTBL both have commishes who don't own a team. TSTBL is top notch as Brent Kick is a total loon (in a good way).

I don't run a team in any league I commish (see sig). I enjoy just running the leagues for the owners and watching how the players develop, and yes, it is a completely unbiased position. I have tried having teams in my leagues, but for me it's too distracting.

Thanks, I just didn't know if there were many leagues ran like that. If there is interest I would still start another, if not I'll just stick to where I am. I just thought it would be nice to run a league without any distractions like adventureran said. So, if anyone be interested in doing this, by all means let me know. I'm willing to put the time and effort in if I had enough people.

Stend-

I've been looking for a new league starting from scratch so I could really build my own franchise. If you end up doing this, let me know. I would definitely be interested.

Last I checked, their website (or at least the one I had bookmarked) isn't working and I haven't seen Driver (I think he was the commish) in quite awhile.

http://www.brentkick.com/tstbl/main.htm

Driver 8 is Brent Kick and TSTBL is his baby, completely.

So you're saying he didn't take a break, Driver 8.

(Sorry. )

While I have been on this shift too long, I am certainly still around. I have been away from the off-topic board for a couple of weeks (more or less) because I just don't have the time to surf at the office like I use to. But the TSTBL is still going strong...we have a full compliment of 24 great owners, and like last season we have recently expanded by two teams to enable 6 divisions and wild cards.

The TSTBL will be hitting it's 1-year anniversary (real time) on August 2. We sim 3 times a week and during the 7+ seasons we've tackled, the league has never missed a sim.

I am certainly still the commish, but yes, the original URL is no longer valid as we had problems with our first host, but it's been corrected with a move to PowWeb. This may sound stupid, but I didn't make an announcement outside of the league as I really didn't think anyone would have had the site bookmarked; the current URL is in my sig below. Thanks for the kind words, guys, it is nice to know that people outside of our league generally have a good impression of it.
