Arena Baseball 15

This is the 3rd year of this quickstart, which is exactly what it sounds like -- arena simulated baseball - with park factors that simulate the indoor baseball experience.

I tested a lot last year and created a version that felt more like baseball. So while you get huge scoring games, it's still possible in this version to get pitchers duels and to have very close games, which I liked. Also the talent level is so bad that it compensates for their terribleness by keeping games close, which is nice.

It's two conferences of 16 teams each. Regular season is now just 42 games, which is down from what it was earlier -- needed to tweak -- the current year is 2018.

I believe this is a mac specific problem.

So you need to do this too for this year's version, someone said that last year and it then worked for them.

Tried the downl and the file would not extract on my computer, which is really odd

Anyway, I was mostly curious to see the league totals you are using to generate stats for this mode. Would you be able to post them or a screenshot of them?

I don't edit the league totals. I used to edit the league modifiers, but after years of testing this league out, the best way to do it is to create a stadium that will simulate arena-like conditions. For simplicity, I have them all playing in the same arena.

With a league of not especially great talent, it yields me games where the scores are in the 40s and games where the result is 2-1. It's a nice mix. But it took years of tinkering to get it quite right.

But for whatever reason in OOTP15, it's changed some of the stuff that worked in the older versions so I need to make some modifications to the league modifiers to make the league work better.

So I'll need to do more testing.

If you stick to just the league total modifiers and leave the stadium as normal sized, you get scores that aren't into the 100s and it's a lot more enjoyable I think to watch. If you just wanna see craziness, you can go with both factors and you'll see way higher scores.

Love the game, great quickstart, but........I notice when I check the box scores, it has a date from 2 seasons ago, is there a error

at the top of the game it has Nov. 28 2019 but when look at a box score it has the date of Nov. 28 2017. As u can see in the screen shot it's opening day.

Make sure you have box scores turned on for your league, but it might be the quickstart pulling old box scores or something in the file. I don't really know off-hand.

Hey Dark
question on modifiers. Did you put in league totals as well (to do a yearly recalc). If so what are those you are using, out of curiosity,

Of course you may just be using the modifier total with no league total with it

Second did you increase the starter stamina to normal or high to help with the high number of pitches they will be going through
