The way OOTP handles this is a little off. I'll go to offer an extension and the players comment will say something like "I'd like to come back next year if you'll have me, here's my demand". I'll offer a few less years for the same money and then get a message back saying they will no longer negotiate. That's not realistic. In real life you'll never find an agent that literally will not pick up the phone and talk to you after your first offer made them mad. What if I change my mind and decide to give a player his original desired contract and then some? He wouldn't know because I can't send another offer. The model is flawed.

I clicked "offer extension" right before his final arby year, as I usually do. It's funny, too, because in every other Mets dynasty I've done, he's always resigned, just this one he won't. Neither will Zack Wheeler, same situation.

Could they be pissed that I didn't bring them up until after Super Two?
