One of the best things I like about this game is checking my draft picks, and seeing how they do, how well they develop, and when I play out all of the games, it takes so much longer to see all of the results, that I kind of get bored when I play out all of the games.
That`s fine.........Like I say, it`s just personal preferences......
It just shows you the potential of the game when you can play it in 2 totally different ways tho....

I remember playing Strat-O-Matic with a friend of mine... we would run a draft and make 2 All-Star teams a piece and start playing. We always thought how cool it would be to play out a whole season and keep complete stats, but we weren't dedicated enough to devote that much energy to it. Maybe that's why I love playing out every game (for my team) now.

It was a bitch doing the pen and paper thing. I remember my 1985 APBA replay finding I had credited one team with more RBI's than runs and spending over a month going through box score after box score to find the error. Turned out to be just transposed digits. Took abt 2 years to play all the games, I happily switched when the APBA DOS came out, record keeping is the biggest improvement over the dice and board days.

Simming entire seasons takes some of the managerial strategy away from the game, I think.

Mostly the only one's I do sim, is because I accidently hit SIM instead of PLAY with my mouse.
I think I posted this in the wrong thread. I'm not sure, now.

I really really miss the league I had that I started in OOTP 3. I had played every game had just finished the 16th season. I forgot to import it into the game before I uninstalled and deleted my OOTP 4 folders.
