Anthony Rizzo
I always start as an expansion team. In '13 Rizzo was always left unprotected by the Cubs. At worst he was a 25 hr, 90 rbi guy. In '14 the Cubs have wisely decided to protect him. He has been a monster so far. |

Another spoiler. If anyone is looking to attack with the running game Billy Hamilton would be a good pickup. He has 161 SB in 277 games and only 28 CS in my league. At the minimum league salary that's a 'steal'.

For prospects, Wong and Tijuan Walker.
For vets, I always try and pick up Matt Carpenter. I almost always end up with Daric Barton as well, but I don't specifically target him, he's just easy to acquire and I value WoBA |

Spoiler Alert: Yonder Alonso, 2B from San Diego. Traded for him for Michael Morse at SEA and he's done better than Morse has. Alonso has .267 AVG/.353 OBP in 2014 and a .256 AVG .353 OBP in 2013 and Morse has a .263 AVG/.307 OBP in 2013, and a .257 AVG/.299 OBP in 2014. Alonso may be another player I am going to get whenever I start new scenarios.

Alonso is a first baseman, not a second baseman.

In the 13 roster set: Andy Wilkins, Jason Hagerty, Oscar Hernandez, and Trevor Gretzky.
In the 14 roster set: Anthony Gose, Trevor Bauer, and Andrelton Simmons. Pretty clear from this thread who the "overs" are. |

My league that I have open so far was created in 1999, so Rizzo came in through regular means to the cubs. Through July 1st 2015, Rizzo is a .270 hitter with 20 total ML HR and has more PT in AAA. I dont think he is in either of my RD leagues. He is with Cleveland.

When starting a game I have no idea who the players are.

Love the Rizzo posts!!!!!
Anthony Rizzo who'd want that bum?!!?! In my (weakened) defence he just posted a .916 OPS and 32 homers in 2015 which followed a 49 homer over 1000 OPS in 2014. I promise if you guys start a new game just one more time Anthony will light it up! Or not |

![]() I have tried to trade for him numerous times in my online league but never ever got close. Kershaw, however, was a throw-in to a trade I made six months after he was drafted by the Dodgers. He won the Cy Young for me in 2011 and anchored my championship team that season. I broke my team down that offseason and traded him for 8 prospects, including Michael Fulmer, Xander Bogaerts, Noah Syndergaard, and Domonic Brown. |

Funny everyone loves Trevor Bauer. In my current save in v14 he has already fizzled out by 2015. In 2014 he posted a 5 ERA with a 1.43 WHIP. In 2015 he had an 8.14 ERA through 17 starts before being demoted. I traded a AAAA player for him thinking a change of scenery might do something but nope, through 3 starts he posted a 5 ERA though it should have been worse with a WHIP of 1.78. And he's been even worse out of the bullpen for me as a long reliever. No injuries and no funky BABIP in '14 but it's been pretty high in '15 so maybe he can right the ship.
