*Spoilers* Who is that one player you always try to get when starting a new game?

For me it's Kolten Wong, 2B from St. Louis. I found him while playing OOTP 13. He's a consistent .270+ hitter, very loyal and has pretty good work ethic. He's the one player I always try to start rebuilding my club with. The right amount of time in the Minor Leagues, he'll be one of the best players on your club immediately and can make an impact very quickly.

EDIT: It would be nice if you could explain why you always try to get that player for your team.

I never heard of him but I got him on the Mets... I'm in my third season and I shopped one of my players... They offered me him as well as a relief pitcher. I accepted it and so far I'm happy with his play in New York!

To respond to your original post I don't really have an answer since I'm in my first ever MLB league just purchasing OOTP14 a few weeks back!

I don't play with real rosters much, but when I do, I don't go for a specific player but a specific school.

I am a HUGE LSU fan, so I want my Tigers. On a current New Orleans expansion team, I've traded for Kevin Gausman, Zach Lee (OK, never played for LSU but he was a QB commitment to the football team), Tyler Hanover, and Leon Landry as a basis for future stars. I also signed Brian "The Beard" Wilson in free agency.

When I play RD, I make it a point to draft Hee Sop Choi. In my EBL vs MLB league he is still active in 2015. .258 Hitter 282 HR. injury prone but decent.

I've settled for Stanton and he hasn't disappointed me at all, 120RBI and 45 HR his first season with me.
