Blocking/Deleting Historical Transaction

I'm running a historical replay with historical transactions on. However, I have decided to alter one player each season to help my team. The first season that I have done this I switched the player that I wanted to my team after he signed with the team he had in real life. However, later that year he was released and then signed by another team. Obviously, I can go back and keep reassigning him to my team but is there any way to block or delete this transaction from even happening?

FWIW, I've chosen to do this for one non closer/setup reliever or a bench player each season to slightly deviate my team from what they had in real life without significantly altering another team. I'd just like to delete his upcoming transaction if needed so I don't have to keep switching him back to my team.

Fun to mess around with I guess but metaphysically incoherent, as has been pointed out (in different ways) many times before.

Well, a guy who threw 30 IP or had 200 AB isn't necessarily a significant loss. Those guys can usually be compensated by with leftovers from the team. Yes, the replacement will likely be somewhat worse but what if the replacement performs better? Its not really the point of the thread but switching one spare part to my team isn't a significant alteration of the computer universe.

From what I've heard, this isn't a good idea. Eventually, you will hit a point where a transaction that is supposed to be made can't be made, and the game is not going to like that.

The game makes them regardless. I've had to switch this particular reliever back to my team twice already, lol. That is what prompted the post. Really all it does is make the user's life more difficult, haha. I'm trying to follow real life as close as possible without altering anything significant. I figured one backup hitter or pitcher isn't enough to throw off the cyber universe

Its actually cool that the transactions are handled that way because it kind of safegards it from a big blowup. Regardless of what I do, the game is going to overwrite it when that player is supposed to change teams.

This is absolutely true. And although I can somewhat understand the concerns of those who point out the downstream affects of making these type of changes to historical txns, it can mostly be a non-issue depending upon how significant the changes are and what your expectations are.

For example, I don't want Frank Robinson making a one-year cameo on the 1972 LA Dodgers, so I will either leave him on the O's for an additional year, or ship him to the Angels a year early. Either way, I'm pretty certain I won't be aghast at the results. After all, users play with historical txns off and all sorts of rookie drafts & random debuts. What's wrong with a little variation to a historical transaction sim, in what is - after all - YOUR game?

Yes, a bummer. It would be really cool if the historical transaction file were a csv-editable, for this very reason.
