I think people should bear in mind that this is a Mets scout's opinion.

If this was my league and I was in commish mode I would use my god powers to move this poor soul to a DH team.
If this scouting is accurate he would be a yearly contender for batting titles

It is not often you see that level of bunting skills. I am impressed.

This is the guy that sits on the end of the bench and pinch hits. But when the manager talks about him, he'd swear that he is the greatest hitter in the league. "He's a professional hitter."

If you're rebuilding those 1 3 2 pitching ratings are real tempting. Trot him out there and he's going to get crushed for sure. Get you a nice draft pick next year starting him every 5 days.

I wouldn't go as far as to do that, since he'd risk getting Cansecoed.

Off-topic, but that really made me laugh out loud

Speaking of Mets, he looks kind of like a (much) lesser John Olerud. Take away the walks and high-level fielding at 1B and you get this guy, basically. The combination of good contact, crappy speed, and no power is unusual but not completely unheard of, I don't think.

Except that Olerud did hit 255 HRs and 500 doubles for his career. Of course, playing in the 90s made those numbers look pretty modest, but he certainly had some power.
