You're welcome.
The sad part is that no one will redo them wich is understandable. I've tried to correct them myself, but due to my small ammount of skills in that domain it didn't work at all. I think there was a reason for that change last year, but I've forget it... |

Not sure where to put this, but I have an idea for something that could be in OOTP14... What about storylines talking about players signing with different companies(Nike,Adidas or another type of company like sony, etc) and have endorsements? Also while the pay/years for the endorsement are on their player profile somewhere? It's not a BIG need but I think it would be fun to look at/read,
Also, added on the player profile I would love to see total world series rings, and also how much money they've made in their careers. |

One little thing I would like to see is DH and PH appearances recorded in fielding history, I want to be able to look at the career fielding history and see if he was primarily a DH.
Also, will the problems with regions in feeder leagues be fixed? |

I'd like to see DH "fielding" records kept too.

without expanding the way associations work, international tournaments, better awards, a better HOF (hate having the same player in two HOFs when he should only be in one), i find myself not really wanting to preorder the game.
I think i might just wait for it to go one sale unless i hear some of those things have been fixed. But i'm sure the list is great for all the huge baseball fans. AI tweaks and such is great for them but not so much for me.

What comes to mind for me is players leaving my Independant league that pays big money only sign with the Major leagues on a two way contract and be sent to A, AA, or AAA for much less money. That is quite frustrating to me and seems very broken.

I'd also like to be able to see DH batting avg etc in the stats and leaders section. You can select any other position including pitcher but not DH.

Hello all. New to the board and this was my first year with OOTP. I have really enjoyed it.
Something I suggested to @ootpbaseball was the use of "Player Projection Comparison" tool to suggest what a potential prospects ceiling in comparison to current and/or former players. This way, when you are targeting a prospect in either the draft or a trade you have an idea of what your return on investment might be. The comparisons could be endless based on the amount of data OOTP has access to, i.e. a small, LH 2B with plus D and no power could draw a Mickey Morandini comparison or a RH power pitcher with a tall frame could project as the next Roger Clemens. Of course, this projection could change over time and be used in concert with the current scouting system in an effort to fine tune your search for the next piece of your championship puzzle. Just a thought. |

Any word on whether or not the Baseball America rankings will still be a cheat sheet that objectively ranks the prospects? Was really hoping for this to change.

One thing I've wanted to see for a while is independent leagues that can only sign players to minor league contracts. It would prevent decent players from going to those leagues, but also give the fringy players in the free agent pool some playing time. I don't currently have any independent leagues in my fictional league as they've never seemed to work well in any of the leagues that I've created over the years.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Ideally there would be a way for major league teams to purchase players from those independent leagues (without a player-for-player swap), as teams do in real life.

This REALLY screws up stats-only, by the way.

The BA rankings in OOTP are not 'objective'; they take stats into account, for one thing, and for another, there's no such thing as an 'objective' ranking of prospects. How do you rank a 75-potential raw 18 year old against a 65-potential polished 24 year old? It depends on what you prioritize. And real life teams have access to all kinds of independent evaluations of their prospects from BA and BP and other sources. Those sources largely agree on prospect rankings, so prospect ranking is not all that subjective in real life.
