Except for the fact that this last poll was started after Markus said that the game will have graphic in a far future... The results of all the polls on the subject done before were quite the contrary.

Just that fact alone render that poll useless and unreliable.

You could even use the FACEGEN pictures to animate movement and that would be fine.

I'm the worst guy to do a reasearch with the search engine.... but you are here since long enough to know that it's a fact the majority was against graphic in every discussions and polls before Markus made official this week.

A small vocal minority isn't a majority...

Yeah, that is really FANTASTIC and honestly is all I'm really asking for. Could just be another tab when managing or watching a game.

I'd say that the fact that Earl Weaver Baseball had reasonably good graphics on top of a good sim engine almost 25 years ago leads a lot of us to believe that something similar for OOTP isn't rocket science, nor will it inevitably lead the the downfall of the game.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that if Earl or those other games didn't have graphics we wouldn't even be talking about them because their total sales would have been in the low thousands. It's not unreasonable to think that it's only because of the internet and the ability for forums like this to collaborate on suggestions and market by word of mouth that a viable market for text sims exists at all. A text version of Earl in 1988 would have been a micro-niche product.

Something like that would be quite nice, granted it would come with a slew of stadium selections, or a way to edit the stadium graphic to create additional ballparks.

Yes, we will. And we'll hate it, and none of you will care. As Silvam14 described us, we'll be just a few broken eggs along the way.

Graphics is a mistake. It stands a good chance, despite reassurances, of hurting the core game, and there is the possibility that it will spell the beginning of the end of the franchise. It will certainly bring in users who like shiny objects and who have little or no understanding or appreciation for the nuts and bolts of baseball, who will band together, make comments like you do, and demand more and better graphics to the exclusion of all else, some of the users who have helped to make the game what it is today will leave, and a death spiral for the game of more graphics - and more graphics glitches - and less and less game will begin.

Because of the graphics decision I no longer believe in the future of OOTP and will begin looking for a long-term replacement so as to be ready if and when one becomes necessary.

There's also a confirmation bias factor. Even if graphics did kill that game (and I'm skeptical that it was the only reason) it doesn't follow that graphics = death.

No, it doesn't. But all three had graphics issues that caused or contributed to their death, so graphics = danger.
