Heading to the next era, a small taste of what is to come, in 1920 the babe lets all know there is a new king in town
he hits 66 home runs. Forgot to load the pic, will do so in a few minutes |

Its sad to see Cy not get over 500 wins. In my league he went 395-295.

500 wins will just be impossible with 5 man rotations and pitching is the area hardest historically to duplicate- pitcher stats alone wont reflect numbers- defense behind dictate numbers, while offense determines a lot into wins |

Sprague...
When i attempted to run a similar replay as you, using the Spritze HS DB, i had odd stolen base numbers. I started in 1876, using the default strategy for that year. However, the stolen base leaders for the year each had over 100 sb. What settings are you using that gave you acceptable numbers.... |

i am having some issues with a few things. this is my first full run through, and when complete i will post my ideas of what i have found- like low hr ratings in th 40's and 50's, as well as some starting pitchers not being as dominent as they should. But i am trying out some ideas as i go along. yes sb numbers are one thing that seems to be very high. one thing i did is start in 1893 to avoid some of the hard to recreate stuff of the 1870's and 80's. but as you see, lots of 80+ sb guys. that era i played i think sb was 1.040, sb % was 1.060, which was a bit high so you might want to try that era normal sb (instead of often) and 1.000 for the modifiers. I think it is just something you have to play with a few times and see how it works |

From 1920-1945 there were three dynasties. One was the yankees led by ruth and gehrig. The babe was just spectacular, i added a slight modifier to yankee stadium (made lf 1.020 for homers) and he responded.
The reds were the nl powerhouse, thanks to the great pitching of satchel paige, while the white sox were the yankee challengers thanks to the great josh gibson |
