What do you make of the Albuqueque kiss flap? When I saw it yesterday, I thought he was just thrilled to not be part of another bullpen implosion and didn't give it a second thought.

Apparently, it has the Oakland boys all ruffled up.
I wouldn't have been a fan of it happening against my team, even if my team won. I can see why people don't like it, but I don't think it's that big a deal. Hopefully it's not fuel for the fire.

If they win this game, yep.

Prince just can't catch a break. He lost a HR because of Coco and a double because of Cespedes.

Edit: Detroit doesn't like pie.

Congrats A's.

We'll try nailing Valverde's uniform to the bench tonight and see if that works.

I knew a 3-1 lead was not enough with those A's. :grrrr:

Bob Melvin for manager of the year, btw.

Well I hope he gets into the game again. Seems like Smoochy Albuquerque has handled the A's the best out of the Kitties' bullpen though.

I wouldn't vote for him for the sole reason that he didn't call for Kottaras to bunt in the 9th with the winning run on 2nd and no one out.

It's not like Cespadas was at the plate. Just a horrible decision that happened to work out for them. Terrible.

Well then I'm glad you don't have a vote for MotY.

It wasn't exactly a no-brainer bunt situation. The next batter up was Cliff Pennington, the #9 hitter, and he's not really a guy that can be counted on to hit a deep fly ball. Sometimes depending on where you are at in the lineup, the chances are better with three shots for a base hit.

@TBrownYahoo Asked Melvin about not bunting in G4 9th inning. Said he liked the lefties against Valverde. Figured three shots better than two.

Okay. I can kind of understand that. But letting Kottaras swing at the very first pitch is a pretty piss poor job of managing.

I bet A's games are a blast to go to. I have never seen any baseball fans like that (must be all those Raiders fans wearing green and yellow ).
