Looks like I jumped the gun on Jake. It looked like he had turned a corner but he's been pretty bad lately.

The Birds are coming to roost in the new Yankee Stadium this week. Strange, though, only a two-game series. You're up against our two best throwers, Nova and Sabathia.

Ah! Right you are. I'm following things very closely, eh?
![]() Right you are not about results, though, if reason and righteousness rule. Or something. Should be interesting, even if only two games. Let's see how good you guys are. |

Well, the Yankees, Chris Davis, and Buck Showalter's bullpen management are beating the Os right now. I'm ready to put this one in the bag and go for the split tomorrow.

Buck Showalter has the young kids believing in themselves. The Orioles are a force to be reckon with...as long as their bubble doesn't burst.
I'm rooting for them. Baltimore needs some baseball playoff games! Did I forget to say, "Let's go Yankees!"

Note the West Coast delay in SandMan's response, but, yes. However, who in the heck are those Birds?

They have to be the surprise of all of baseball. I know they won't continue to play at a pace where they will win about 107 games, but they show no sign of falling off a cliff and finishing around .500 Don't get me wrong I am rooting for the Orioles in the AL. Let's just wait and see how good they are later in the season. They are currently winning 75% of their road games. This can't hold up. Go O's

You made me spit out my Pepsi, lol ![]() BTW, I wish my Cubbies standings were upside down. They are actually quite pitiful this season. But to get back to the Orioles, they have all of baseball talking about their fantastic start. I am glad they are in the AL and not the NL, lets see if they can keep ahead of the Yankees, Red Sox and Rays.

Well it was a good run for first place. It took until June 1st to knock the Orioles from first place. Let see if they can rebound a bit and get back in first place in the toughest division in the AL. I am truly rooting for them to do well even though they are not my team. I am a Cubs fan as you can see from the avatar, but not to much to root for there.....

There was a lot of kicking back and forth going on. It was just a matter of who would get the last kick.
![]() If the other two games are anything like that one, it's going to be a crazy weekend. |

This offseason has been really underwhelming.
Andres Gallaraga, Dana Eveland, and those two guys we got in the Guts deal are pretty underwhelming. Depth, I suppose.

So Chris Davis can hit, Adam Jones is a star and Markakis is a great leadoff hitter. The Os are headed the right direction now if you can find some pitching, find a nice warm spot on the bench for Mark Reynolds, find another OF so you arent starting the deadly platoon of Lew Ford/Nate McLouth, and a capable big league 2nd baseman. The Os and their fans finally have a good reason for optimism.
