I agree. I hope they can keep it up. I'm a big fan of knocking down the titans.

1) I agree and if you read my post you'll see that I am also pleased with how Baltimore is doing.

2) Really? You obviously have no clue who I am yet you assume off of one post that I make that I'm here to bring the Orioles and their fans down? Brilliant.

Have your fun. Enjoy it while it lasts. I hope it last all season. It'd be a great story. And maybe chill out a bit, Jenny.

I don't care who you are.

All I know is you came into an Orioles thread trying to bring down the excitement. As said in previous post, its not gonna happen here.

So as for knowing who you are, I could careless if you were the pope. I wouldn't let him get away with it either.

After the 90's and the first part of the 2000's are us Tiger fans even able to rain on someones parade? Ugh!

We're just enjoying it while it lasts. I know that it doesn't mean jack right now. But the Orioles are fun to follow right now.

And there is no reason for anyone to get mean at each other. It is all in good fun.

You're still cool in my book, cephas.

As well you should. I didn't mean it to be a downer comment. I'm rooting for Baltimore to take the division, whether it happens or not. Crazier things have happened.

I find that those of us who have suffered through Rob Deer and Todd Jones are fairly empathetic to the likes of Baltimore, KC and Pittsburgh.

WHOA!

Where in the heck did this come from? Unless you two have a prior history, this is a gross overreaction, IMO.

It tells me one thing that I will repeat here: I'm outta this thread because I'm likely to be the next one on the agenda. O's fans only, apparently. Those interested in some baseball give-and-take over a friendly divisional rivalry need not apply.

Honestly, I would appreciate it if you guys would ignore Bmorebirds_24. His attitude is not what I want portrayed in this thread. I started the thread and I enjoy the friendly banter. Please continue.

**** YOU!

The O's are 19-9. The Twins are 7-20. The Mayans were right.

That's right, you are the O.P., aren't you? OK, then. Hey, there's only a handful of active baseball threads in this forum and if we keep it civil while we root for our teams, we can get more enjoyment out of them.

Unless one's thing is rabid, hateful crap that passes for fanhood (and manhood) these days, that is. My suggestion for those guys? Try Off-Topic Debates. Plenty of venom there, for sure.

So, how long has it been since the O's started a season 19-9? I'm sure local media has some facts and figures on that.

Look here's the deal if I ruffled any feathers then that was not my intent. I am on baseball forums and football for the Baltimore teams and encounter A LOT of trolling. It's people who try to come on just to start trouble and jack a thread. All I was doing was trying to defend the thread. The trolling gets under my skin pretty bad. Not saying the guy was I just thought he was trying to turn the thread into a smack talking thread when right now Orioles fans should be jacked.

So with that said pride put aside I apologize

In 2005 they were 19-9. They were 42-28 on June 21 that year and were 51-51 on July 29. As you can see, they completely fell apart, finishing 74-88.

It is truly sad. 32-60 to end the season.

This is not 2005!!!

This entire town is buzzing with the surge of the Orioles.

But local radio is furious we aren't talking to Jones yet about an extension. After tonights game people are ripping Matusz. Britton is making his way back so there could be help there.

Matusz is terrible. He's had 1 decent start this year I think.

That's all he's had. We need Jake to step up in a big way tonight. I also think Markakis should drop in the order.
