Edit. In this game 5 X 3-0 counts followed by a K, and 4 X 3-0 counts followed by a ball.

There are no doublehheaders and several off days, so the #1 ought to be ready more frequently ahead of #5 and especially ahead of #6 (if used). Once in awhile a MR guy will get 1 start, but even if a postseason berth is clinched the game will often use #1 and #2 uselessly in meaningless games 161 and 162. |

I'm not sure I follow. The scoreboard shows a count of 3-2. Are you playing one pitch mode? If you play one pitch mode, after you choose to pitch, the count automatically defaults to something. If it defaults to 3-0, the only results are walk or batter swings. I imagine it is the nature of the beast with one pitch mode. The whole point is that something is going to happen on the next pitch. If a strike is called, then you would have to pitch again, which wouldn't technically be one pitch mode.

I just got to thinking the same thing. If it's one-pitch mode, and it shows you 3-0, what else is it supposed to give as a result? A strikeout? The only possibilities are a walk or ball in play.
Edit: Or a hit batter. But that's relatively rare. |

His point was that on the final pitch of any AB that ends on a 3-0 count, the outcome is almost always a walk, and occasionally a ball in play. Which makes me wonder what else he expects to happen.

I just might have to change them. Also, do they all have the ball flights? Thanks! |

If you press enter and get a 4-pitch walk complete AB then the count is 4-0. If you get a ball in play on the 4th pitch to complete the AB the count is 3-1. If a game play occurs on ball 3 (SB or missed bunt), then the PbP will kick out and you'll have to input one more time.

To stop pitchers starting late in the season go into set game strategy on the player page and bench him for X days. Great little feature.

In my historical league 1903. Christy Mathewson had 39 GS, Rube Waddell had 37, Kid Nichols had 37 and Wild Bill Donovan had 26. No injuries to any SP. All 4 won 21+.

![]() I'll leave you with one last nugget. In one-pitch mode the scoreboard is always one or more pitches behind the game unless a game event interrupts the AB.

in online leagues Game Setup is blacked out! It should be viewable, but not changeable by the player! How the commissioner sets up the game can alter the way you play the game, so this info should not be hidden. BTW, I can't alter the pitcher usage or lineups in FOOL once the season starts. All 162 games are played in 1 sim. |

Bailey in my 1904 season it went like this:
Rube Waddell 44 GS 30 Wins Christy Mathewson 41 GS 26 W Wild Bill Donovan 36 GS 25 W Kid Nichols 32 GS 18 W Fred Glade 1 GS set as spot starter 20% No injuries except Glade for more then 3 days. So yeah don't know why it isn't working for you. This is historical in a 4 man rotation not a 5 man. |
