I don't think there's the slightest reason to consider this story "offensive" or to see "anti-religious sentiment".

I know that I don't have to tell you what you should do, so I'll tell you what I would do if I found a topic offensive:

I simply would stay away from it.

Thank you Wolf for this great story !!!

Nobody cares that you are offended. That's your problem.

I'm still not getting what is so offensive. His post has less offense than the 2011 Astros.

No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Seriously lighten up a bit. No one is making a mockery out of anything. It is simply a story about a moment when someone thinks you are talking about one thing and you don't have the heart or maybe courage to tell them you are talking about something completely different. The fact he didn't have the heart to tell his mother he wasn't going to church is not a mockery of religion nor anti-religious in any way. If you are offended by the fact he did not attend or didn't want to break his mother's heart at that moment then I really don't know what to say.

Moving on. Bring out the comfy chair! Poke her with the soft pillows. Confess. Confess!

Ok, now you can be offended by my recounting of Monty Python making a mockery of the Spanish Inquisition.

I applaud him for doing it and I'm glad you're offended. My only problem with it is that he should be strong and forthright about his views and make no apologies for them. If the relatives are hurt that someone else doesn't share in their rationally untenable fantasies, then that's tough luck for them.

By the way, Wolf, I had no idea that you were related to Malleus Dei. Good on you, though, for being the better of the two. I set him to 'ignore' a long time ago Glad you're enjoying OOTP13, too. Hopefully the game is finally knocking down some of your long-desired fixes and improvements.
