Edit: Sorry, Markus. Some things just don't set right with some folks. Honestly? I still can't live with the smilies, but at least I have the ability to change them out right away with Bobbles Mood icons. Just one of those things. Like you say, can't argue taste.

I don't use a mac, but the process should be the same. When the skin packages roll out after release, remind me, and we'll compare notes.

A couple of things on the in game screen shots.
1. Any way possible to put the players jersey number next to their name in the on field display? Carl Crawford #13 2. Quote:

Yeah, I'm not much of a fan of the cartoonish announcer either (from what I've seen of its graphics, he looks like he belongs in iOOTP), but what I would think would be very cool is if we had team announcers with their own facegens like we do with owners. Just think, you could do up your own Tom Cheek or Vin Scully or whomever and they'd fit right in because they look just like all the other facegens. I do think it's a nice touch to have it next to the pbp, like there's a real person calling the game, but the graphic just doesn't fit.

LOL. And without personalized announcers, I'll just leave the guy in. I'd feel guilty otherwise. I think I'll call him Pete.

I'm, like, "whatever" about the guy who's on there, but I would love if we got together a set of announcer pics and/or face gens. I'm so "immersed" that I change my team's and our opponent's unis for home and away games. Now, if my 1967 Orioles could drop in to, say Tiger Stadium and see Ernie Harwell there, how cool would that be?

If the two player displays could be aligned more closely, or the user to be able to manually align them, that would help to make this version "the best that it can be."

The one Markus is using works for me. It's great!

Good idea. Then, these two game elements would mutually support each other.

It's probably one of those 1960s polyester suits.

Having said that, a selection of different 'style' announcer pics might not be a bad idea either. I originally thought that the 'announcer' pic was an icon to select what type of commentary the user wanted displayed in the game (a useful tool). In a future version, a user might use the announcer icon to select from a multitude of announcer types (i.e., emotional, humorous, rambling, concise, serious, biased, statistical, unbiased, ostentatious, etc.) as was discussed in a thread about 3-4 years ago.
