As I mentioned, we have gone to an extreme to insure the issue didn't happen to our leagues. If it had, I suspect we all would have agreed to modify the finances to our mutual agreement manually - then follow the upgrade rule in the future to make sure it didn't happen again. |

Also, what about the ability to un-retire any coach? I'm still waiting for the ability to un-retire Whitey Herzog... Last edited by Bowtie; 09-23-2011 at 10:48 AM. |

just add money in the amount of the contract when you make the trade and you can have the same thing as paying off that year of the contract.
Since you can simulate it already that might be another reason as to why it wasn't added. You can even edit the news item to reflect that you paid such and such for the players salary. |

How would the AI deal with this? probably another reason why it was cut. People on forums always find something to complain about BTW patch here yet? how about now? now? |

So you've killed the pre-release touted contract buy-out feature as well?

Hopefully major league baseball can fix the playoffs rules next year and allow the 2nd wild card that way it'll be in next years game.

I realize that I am a little slow here, but I might as well offer Markus the feedback, for what it's worth:
In my opinion, the revised/improved financial model still doesn't quite work. In principle, the balance between the various sources of a team's income and free agent/salary demands is still not there. I have spent quite a bit of time playing around to try to achieve a decent balance so that at least some of the teams in my 24-team league come out each year with a profit while most of the free agents end up being signed sooner or later. I think I have achieved a reasonably stable situation, but really one shouldn't have to mod this part of the game to just get it to work. The game's default should be that X% (say, 20-25%?) of the teams in any era are going to be profitable, given a reasonable distribution of market sizes, and this will allow the large majority of free agents to be signed. I hope the "financial tweaks" alluded to by Markus will avoid the need for us to be tinkering with this. It's kind of frustrating, because as things stand now you have to make some changes, run the league for 15 years or so, make some more changes, run it again, and so on. It takes quite a bit of time. |

I think for next year there should be something done with the stadiums. The better , the newer the stadium the more sources of income you have. Over time as your stadium gets older it no longer becomes new and you don't get that income boost.
Just a thought. |

Just a quick question, but will the bug that causes the game to freeze after scouting a College Feeder league and creating free agents be addressed in the next patch? It has put a halt to my Jays dynasty and I'm dying to get going again.

that would be absolutely terrible if they add another playoff team. when do they stop? do we really want the regular season to mean nothing like the NBA, NHL, and NFL seasons do?
