That is too bad, that is a neat little feature and part of baseball.

so what is the feature anyways? pay out a players contract during a trade? so i trade Joe bum and since he has one left at 10mil i pay whatever is left of his salary, is that right? couldn't you do the same thing just by including 10mil in the trade? sure I'm not actually paying the contract it would even out in the finances in the end so there is little difference
can see why it was left out |

Please don't apologize for passing the time in between updates by providing entertaining anecdotes. It's way more constructive than some posts I've seen around here. Levity makes the time pass faster...3...2...1...Is it time for 12.5 yet?

Markus are the finances fixed(expenses) for the last update , we put in a ticket and they said it was just everyone didnt update there version to 12.4
but that was crap because i exported for all the teams and the other co-comish simed and we also chked there game versions to . player expense got jacked up after the last patch so im hoping with the last update it will be fix and you say one way or another on that being fixed , thanks as always

Can you do that with the "Add cash" feature? Let's say you want to pay for half the guy's remaining salary in return for better players/prospects from the other team. Can't you just put that amount in there, or is that likely to be too much for a team to afford and make the owner POed? Honest question that I don't know the answer to. Just suggesting it as a possible workaround. My suggestion may very well be completely impractical, but I thought it was worth a shot.

wasn't trying to be insulating and i apologize for that it just very frustrating that all the info we could get we that everyone needs to be on the same version and to be pretty much called a lair and not look more in to it is all . we checked everyone version and the version wasn't the case. so there got to be another issue and we just want info on where its now fixed or not

What I have to offer is that the two leagues I'm involved with upgraded across all teams and the commissioner at the same time - or "instant" if you will. No files are ever transferred between diff versions. This usually occurs when a team might upload a file from version A and it it loaded into a version B - THEN A upgrades to B. There is no guarantee that will work. We set a date after everyone has played their period games. On that date we ALL upgrade to the new version. Once that is confirmed, each team THEN uploads their results to the commissioner. Doing things this way we run into very few problems if any. When we started playing online years ago, we weren't real accurate on upgrades - sometimes a few teams would upgrade the next cycle or sometimes it would be 2-3 cycles later. It became obvious that was not a good idea. I will admit I have an advantage in that all of our league members are either family or close friends of family and are all contactable by phone. Upgrade nights are a series of phone calls that insure all is updated before we restart the league. One time, all but one upgraded who wa called away on a business trip for a week - we had to wait for him to get back before we could proceed. Last edited by Henry; 09-22-2011 at 05:28 PM. |
