Too many home runs!

Running a fictional league which started in 1922. It's now 1935, and I've just got too many guys hitting too many HRs. Last year, no less that NINE players hit over 60 home runs! I've set the modifier for league HR totals down to .800, but is there anyway else to handle this. If it's like this in 1935, I can't imagine what it's going to be like in say 1997!

(I've played OOTP since like version 6 and never had this problem before...)

Sounds like you can still lower Homeruns by 80% to me...

I'm going to play with the "Auto-Calc" in the pre-season. I think that's my best bet.

I'm in 1936 in my dynasty and I'm having entire teams hit HRs at the rate of around 80 a year, which is about the historical amount. Doing the auto-recalc is the way to go; just setting it down to .800 is not necessarily going to remove HRs that much, especially if you're running a fictional league (where the individual players are randomized and it's entirely possible for it to be particularly HR-happy or BABIP-sad).

Of course the great thing about having nine people in the league hit 60+ HRs was that FOUR of them were on my team...! Yes- Auto-Recalc for sure...

No, no- no editing. Just searching around to get my "sea legs" with OOTP12. I sure don't want 60 plus home run seasons- Barry Bonds can have and keep the video game numbers...
