That's...interesting.

I hope there's a fix/workaround for that.

Angry Mods on add-on central

The mods on the add-on central take too long to download, if they download at all. I really dont want to input everything to play a game with this year's team, butI could only get 18% of the all in one downloaded in 2 hours! Ridiculous!!! LAst year's game was so easy, this one is a chore. Maybe its because I've had it for 6 hours and havent played a game yet. Maybe I'll be able to play by the All-Star break

So, can countries with poor baseball programs improve their rating over time, (or decrease) or will it always be the same regardless of how much time passes in your league?

Because it would be more realistic that if you spent more money and time in a country, it's baseball program would gradually improve with more good players coming out of that country. 30 years ago, only a handful of countries in south america and the world had good players come from where they were scouted and this eventually led to more kids wanting to play baseball because of players from their country.

The save / resume during pbp works great. Now I'm going to put together different era leagues with teams from different years and play them out single pitch. For me this is great. Deadball era, early 1920-1939, middle 1946-1959, modern 1960-1975. The pbp text is outstanding and the new sounds add to immersion. This is baseball heaven.

I'm pretty sure that in the nations file the USA is set to 0% "American" and 27% Hispanic and as a result they're coming out 100% Hispanic. In past iterations it's been 73-27.

I'll keep an eye out for this, but it doesn't appear to be a problem that I can tell.

If you have more information, I'd like to hear it.
I've simmed beyond it, so I don't have the league files saved. I'm sure I can produce another, if needed. Short of it is that I saw a 50 current, 80 potential second baseman, easily the best player in the draft, slide to me with the 20th pick. There were also above-slot guys in the 2nd and 3rd rounds rated 30+ points above the rest of the remaining pool.

It might just take teams without the budget room for those players, as my scout recommended a lesser, slot bonus prospect in each round.

Is it me or are players with high bonus demands actually falling in the draft instead of just being snapped up within the first ten picks? In the three drafts I've done on this game, I've been able to snatch up a lot of great players demanding over six million that my scout rated highly.

This isn't an example of bad scouting either. The players that I've signed have become top fifty prospects and those that return have come back demanding substantially less in next year's draft and being snatched up in the top fifteen.

I've been seeing the same thing. I think there's a lot more financial pressure on teams, with things they need to spend on. I'm a bit concerned that they may not be allocating enough for top draft picks. A little slipping and re-entering is fun, but too much can cause big problems.

Like I said, I ran two drafts, and in both the top 5 demanding players were selected in the first 8 picks.

I'll keep an eye out for it as I play, though.

And, just to be clear, we're talking about having the signing bonus option turned OFF, right?

I know what you mean. The Red Sox already had talent in their system, but after one draft I went from a bottom twenty system to a top five? I'm noticing a lot of prospects (especially my overslot ones) bust, but the top two college pitchers I took in back-to-back years? They are twenty-three and twenty-four respectively, were immediately assigned to Double-A, and both were promoted. Fast forward a few months, I promote one out of necessity (failing starter) and in five games he has an FIP of 2.03 and thirty-four strikeouts.

In that case, players with high bonuses should slide a bit as most teams can't afford them.

Best part of the OOTP12...

Took over Cardinals (just a quick little test game to get my feet wet). Approached Pujols about an extension, he wanted...

5 years $21 mil per year!!!!

That's a steal, met his demand instantly!

If only the real life Pujols wanted the same (sigh)

glad theres a workaround for the draft issue, thanks. two biggest issues I had gone like that!

anyone know the file where the historic attendances are stored? it just kinda irritates me to see 0 for the past two seasons when that could be edited easy
