The Simulation Module

As I'm allowed to talk about it, I'll just whet your appetites with a bit about the Simulation Module. You can choose any two teams in your universe (they don't have to be from the same league) and choose any number of games and schedule 'off-days' so that pitching rotations kick in. There is no rust or injuries but it allows every SP to have a go.

So, I did a 1000 game simulation between the Yankees and the Red Sox

Here's the first part of the simulation module.

Yes, that's why you can keep it a secret if you want. Plus it won't tell you if your player will get hurt.

If you have a two team league, sure it would be.

I like how Eduardo Nunez apparently had to get in there for 1/3 of an inning.

Okay, this is freaking awesome, not just in a gameplay way but in a "hey, Fangraphs, check this out for lineup computation purposes!" way.

If they made it any two teams from Lahman and allowed for pbp that would be better.

You can actually watch the replay back afterwards if you note down the game id from the box score of a simulated match.

I like how the Yankees SS Nunez pitched 0.1 Inning. Was he the only non-pitcher to pitch at all?

Looks like no injuries? (which would make sense)

I think so... That's the only problem is finding where he pitched - because it's a simulation module you don't have the ability to search for where he pitched (though if I'd thought about it at the time the box scores/game logs text files would probably say!)
