Started on collection of vintage uniforms

I started working on uniforms for a regional baseball league starting in 1871.

The initial uniforms will be pretty basic with no team logos until around the turn of the century.

I am planning to make the uniforms regional. The northern teams will have 'proper attire' with players required to wear ties. The southern players will wear military style uniforms. The western players will wear pullover uniforms with string ties.

Couple of samples so far:

Northern Association - Boston Capitals

South Atlantic League - Charlotte Blue Jays

Took a while to get back to the uniforms since I am working on logos (some are re-purposed logos) and other stuff too, but the National Association is done.

Baltimore Robins

Boston Capitals

Brooklyn Silver Sox

New York Atlantics

Philadelphia Nationals

Washington Braves

Looks good. I really like that font for Baltimore. Do you remember what you used? Thanks.

I can't remember where I found the font for Baltimore, but it is called Prince Valiant.

Just got done looking at your leage info files -looks like you put a lot of time into it. Your league logos will help me since I was planning to mostly use real league names. Now I won't have to go looking for the logos.

I like it overall, but it looks to light to me between the buttons then on the outside of them.

I lightened the center intentionally, but I may have done it too much.

Here is the uniform with the center the same shade as the rest of the jacket.

Where did you get your backgrounds?

Thanks guys. Can't wait for 12 to come out so I can them in the new version.

Spleen - the backgrounds came from fhomess' Facegen Background Collection that can be found in the link below. I just selected the backgrounds that I thought fit the era.

Finally getting around to finishing the logos and uniforms. Been working on other stuff for the league.

I found that I needed to start making the uniforms a little more unique starting in 1881. There are only so many plain uniforms you can make without them to start looking too similar.

Index for the National Association and American Association

These teams are all in the first era, so they will also have identical uniforms without the letter logo.

Planning to wrap up the Great Plains, California, Southern and Cotton States leagues this evening.

Next set is done

All of these teams, with the exception of the 3 unique uniforms that never gain a letter logo, are also in the first era so they have versions with and without the letter logos.

Nice to see you back in action Markmeister, you've definitely inspired my work from back in the day I've been slowly working on my own vintage set, and because I lack real original creativity, they are based on the real-life, current day teams that play vintage ball. Not terribly different from these, but I should share the template/samples with you. Here's a set of my oh so humble neighbors to the south...

No Pepper,

Thanks. Glad to be able to get back to OOTP.

The vintage sets you have done look real good. All I do is take a real unifrom and add some twists to it. The toughest part is finding the color combinations and logos that all fit together.

Southern League and Cotton States League are done

The last 2 sets slowed me down. I picked too many teams with 2 word city names - LOL. Those logos are harder to come up with something that is unique.
