Printing Baseball Cards

Have there been any posts explaining a good way to actually print out sets of cards?

i can't see any way other than copy and pasting them into photoshop and printing out a sheet of the fronts and then the backs. You can either PRINTSCREEN and paste, or open up the actual files from the Baseball_cards folder and arrange them on a full sheet that way

Maybe I'm naive, but you would have thought that if "the powers that be" had offered a baseball card as a feature, they would also have provided a way to print them out easily since that is the end product that most people would desire -real cards you could hold and handle! What good is staring at a back and front image of a card at the same time? I don't see the point. You can already see the player images in OOTP in other ways on screen.

Your method seems reasonable. Thanks for sharing.

If the cards are exported to a folder, you could create a word document that has two sides to fit several cards on them and then print from there onto cardstock or whatever.

Has anyone actually printed out his own set of baseball cards from the game?
What method did you use? Did you put them in plastic sleeves? or paste back-to-back?

I haven't done it yet. But to do it, you'd just have to print them and then cut the fronts and backs, paste them or something else and then laminate. It wouldn't be that labor intensive, provided you had all of the tools at your immediate disposal.

I think the baseball cards were as much of a feature for online leagues to use on their websites than to actually print them out. The resolution printing them out won't look that great. But you can print them front and back and align them, but I'm guessing the end result won't look good enough for it to be worth the effort

Baseball Card utility

At the beginning of this summer, I created a utility program that allows a lot of customization with baseball cards (like stats on the back, printing out a single team, etc). I don't think I made a way to put all of the cards on a single "sheet", but that would probably be do-able if someone wanted it. Anyway, here is the link with more info if anyone is interested.

I still use and enjoy the program you developed. While I like the in-game generator for overall look, partially because of the templates the modders here have put together, the ability to make cards from the data files for entire teams has really made the whole thing more enjoyable. I usually generate my cards at the end of a year (because I identify more with the guys who I picked up to fill holes than whoever may have started the year and failed to keep the job) but with the in-game generator that leaves out the guys who were traded or demoted. With yours, all the cards are generated for my entire year in one fell swoop.

Very cool, thanks for the feedback. I actually made some other additions but didn't bother compiling them because I didn't think anyone was using it.

I still optimistically click that update button every once in a while. I can't say if anyone else uses it anymore. I will say that in-game cards are constantly improving, so the need for a program like this has become less necessary. Still cool though.
